Bounteous is looking for an experienced Director to join the Modern Business Platforms (MBP) practice. This role acts as a trusted client partner and leads teams to drive results for clients through effective use of data to activate marketing use cases. This role involves embracing and evangelizing new marketing, data, and analytics technologies in addition to leading initiatives to improve the competency of the Martech platforms practice, generating ideas and processes to deliver successful project solutions, maintaining a focus on learning and professional growth, leading strategic cross-competency accounts, and providing partnership to client service and business development teams to expand account opportunities.

The Director of Data Strategy will be responsible for the strategic development of digital marketing data ecosystems, accomplishing data-driven analysis and activation through solution architectures integrating measurement, modeling, and martech / adtech to meet client business objectives. Within client programs, this role will create and oversee comprehensive data programs to enable complex digital strategies. This role will be highly cross-functional and interface with Data & Analytics, Marketing, Experience Design, and Technology teams.

This role will develop practice-wide data perspectives, help build the Data Strategy team, and advance the capacity of consultants across the MBP practice in project execution. As a leader in digital data and analytics, this role will also be involved in pitches, estimates, and SOWs for related projects when needed.

Information Security Responsibilities
  • Promote and enforce awareness of key information security practices, including acceptable use of information assets, malware protection, and password security protocols
  • Identify, assess, and report security risks, focusing on how these risks impact the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information assets
  • Understand and evaluate how data is stored, processed, or transmitted, ensuring compliance with data privacy and protection standards (GDPR, CCPA, etc.)
  • Ensure data protection measures are integrated throughout the information lifecycle to safeguard sensitive information
  • Role and Responsibilities:
  • Leads cross-functional engagements, and ensures cohesive delivery across competencies.

  • Uncovers use cases and data initiatives in alignment with marketing business objectives.

  • Conducts data strategy programming, including assessing data signals, KPI setting, ecosystem and readiness assessments, co-innovation studio sessions, roadmapping deliverables, and value creation cycles.

  • Assesses client data maturity, understands stakeholder needs, facilitates prioritization, and coordinates a strategic data and agile roadmap of program activities.

  • Provides perspectives on necessary data advancement recommendations, including data warehousing, modeling, engineering, business intelligence, or other data activities to support business outcomes.

  • Works with delivery pods (channel owners, competencies, functional teams) to harmonize activities and deliverables across the co-innovation program, translating business objectives into activities & marketing objectives, ideating on innovation and outlining the tactics necessary to achieve results.

  • Provides oversight to Data Strategy team members on complex accounts.

  • Uses the results of analysis to communicate program success and persuade account and client stakeholders for expansion and investment, including opportunities for accelerator engagements.

  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • 6+ years of relevant work experience in digital, consulting, or analytics.
  • Functional expertise with digital analytics platforms (Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics).
  • Knowledge and familiarity with BI tools like Tableau, Power BI, or similar and SQL is a plus.
  • Familiarity in cloud technologies (Snowflake, AWS, Azure) and their capabilities as they relate to customer, digital, and operational data and digital analytics.
  • Familiarity with a variety of marketing technology platforms (Adobe, Salesforce, etc).
  • Industry knowledge of the advanced analytics landscape.
  • Understanding of data governance, compliance, and privacy issues.

  • Build and advance a team with skills and knowledge appropriate to be a trusted advisor to help clients see a clear path to overcome their challenges
  • Maintain subject matter expertise as platforms evolve, including leading development of playbooks and documentation for scaling solutions
  • Collaborate with internal marketing team on strategic collateral, collaborative case studies, or other marketing materials
  • Work with CSEs and BD to support pitches for new business or additional follow-on work for clients, especially relating to activation; participate in QBRs as needed
  • Maintain billable utilization while uncovering additional project opportunities
