Job description
## About Usul Usul is building the “Amazon for Government”, a world where any company can sell to any government in a few clicks on their computer. Anything from national security tech, space stations, energy infrastructure, healthcare and more. Our AI platform helps companies identify, pursue, and win the government opportunities they’re most likely to convert and makes it dramatically easier for governments to buy from the private sector. In 1 year we’ve grown to $5M+ ARR securing Fortune 500 government contractors, the U.S. Army and NATO as customers. We’re now entering the next phase of growth to capture the entire U.S. market and expand to over 60+ allied nations. We’re building a small, elite team with high standards and low ego. We care about doing whatever it takes, getting better at the craft every week, and being genuinely fun to work with. We’re the youngest team in our world by far. We’re in our 20s running around defense conferences in Usul t-shirts, surrounded by 40 to 60 year olds in suits and military uniforms. People see us as the ambitious AI builders bringing real Silicon Valley energy and modern technology to one of the most traditional industries on earth. ## **We are looking for an entrepreneurial operator to own our customer deployments.** You'll be on the front lines to ensure Usul becomes the AI partner for every defense company and leave them with the thought - "how did we ever work without Usul?" ## What you’ll do: - Serve as the deployment lead of Usul for a portfolio of some of the largest and fastest growing defense and space companies in the world, owning all post-sale relationships from onboarding/training, enterprise adoption, expansion and renewals. - Coordinate complex product onboarding paths from defense-tech startups building in their garage to Fortune 500 companies with thousands of employees ensuring every single user maximizes Usul’s value to transform the way they win defense contracts. - Lead commercial upsell/cross-sell expansions within every account. - Own customer health using metrics on your accounts to increase retention, reduce churn and close renewals. - Collaborate with Sales, Product and Engineering directly influencing our product roadmap and path to revolutionizing how every allied government and defense company interact. ## What we look for: - 1-3 years of consulting/strategy experience with big, old industries. You know how to navigate these rooms of C suites and pitch ROI. (McKinsey, Bain, BCG preferred) - Optional plus: Experience leading software deployments in large businesses. - Crazy high agency and ability to context switch extremely fast. - Willingness to travel 1-2 times per month for client engagements. - Entrepreneurial experience and mindset - you are excited about building things from scratch and are able to identify issues and execute quickly. - High EQ. - In office forward - we move insanely fast 5 days per week in San Francisco.
