Demand Generation Manager

Job description

Pattern (Nasdaq: PTRN) is a leader in accelerating brands on global ecommerce marketplaces, leveraging proprietary technology and AI. Utilizing more than 91 trillion data points, Pattern optimizes and automates all levers of ecommerce growth for global brands, including advertising, content management, logistics and fulfillment, pricing, forecasting and customer service, through products like 3P Accelerator, TikTok Shop, PXM, and ROI Hunter. Hundreds of global brands depend on Pattern's ecommerce acceleration platform every day to drive profitable revenue growth across 70+ global marketplaces, including Amazon, Walmart.com, Target.com, eBay, Tmall, TikTok Shop, JD, and Mercado Libre.

ROI Hunter is Pattern's advertising technology platform, helping brands manage product-level performance across Meta, Google, Snap, TikTok, and now OpenAI's ChatGPT. Are you obsessed with data, partner success, taking action, and changing the game? If you have a whole lot of hustle and a touch of nerd, come build with us. We want you to use your skills to push one of the fastest-growing companies in the US to the top of the list.

Pattern has been named one of the fastest-growing tech companies headquartered in North America by Deloitte and one of the best-led companies by Inc. We place employee experience at the center of our business model and have been recognized as one of Newsweek's Global Most Loved Workplaces®.

We need a Demand Generation Manager to build the demand engine for Pattern`s ROI Hunter from a green field, just as it pushes into the US, with Australia and New Zealand next year. You won't run every campaign yourself: you'll decide what matters most for pipeline and coordinate Pattern's marketing, events, Alliance and BDR teams to deliver it, inside a global marketing team of roughly 50 to 60 people. This is a full-time role with no fixed office requirement, so you can work from Brno, Prague or fully remotely.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a day in the life of a Demand Generation Manager?

  • Brief the US demand generation specialists on campaigns, newsletters and blog content, check the messaging is accurate, and read the results as they come in

  • Meet the Alliance team every week or two to review partner pipeline across Meta, Snap and the upcoming partnerships, and work out which content, decks or demos they are missing

  • Work with Pattern's US BDR team of around eight people on outbound messaging, and bring more structure and reporting to how ROI Hunter outreach runs

  • Go through Pattern's events calendar, pick the events worth attending, choose which target accounts to meet there and prepare custom content in collaboration with our Sales team.

  • Take the product knowledge and messaging that the product marketers train you on and turn it into external campaigns and content

  • Track the top-level pipeline number and report it, first to Dominika and in time directly to Pattern leadership

  • Start the early groundwork on bringing existing Pattern brand customers into ROI Hunter as they enter new markets, an area where the plan is still being written

  • What will I need to thrive in this role?

  • Real B2B SaaS demand generation experience, where you have built pipeline and can show the numbers behind it. This is the one requirement we will not bend on, though your previous job title matters far less than what you owned and delivered

  • Experience coordinating people who don't report to you. Most of the execution sits with other teams, so you get things done through clear briefs, timelines and influence, and you understand how marketing works inside a larger, matrixed organization

  • Autonomy and a project manager's habits. Nobody will have time to check in on you, so you prioritize and organize yourself and update stakeholders before they ask. Few people at Pattern run quite this kind of function, so part of your motivation has to come from you

  • Comfort with priorities that shift overnight. A full rebrand landed this summer that nobody had planned for, and you'll need to adjust and keep moving rather than stall

  • Experience marketing into the US, or working in a US-style marketing organization, is a strong advantage. Fluent English (C1 or above) is expected, as much of your day is spent with US colleagues

  • An e-commerce or ad tech background is a nice extra rather than a must, since the product marketers will teach you the product and the messaging

  • What does high performance look like?

  • You get oriented quickly: you meet everyone involved early and understand where the marketing strategy stands before you start changing anything

  • You prioritize and organize yourself without being overwhelmed by the volume or ambiguity of the work

  • You keep stakeholders updated proactively, with clear timelines and reporting, so nobody has to chase you

  • Your reporting ties activity to meetings, opportunities and pipeline, so everyone can see which campaigns, events and partnerships are actually working

  • What is my potential for career growth?

  • This role has significant room to grow as Pattern`s ROI Hunter expands globally, particularly in the US.

  • You will join at a stage where the marketing engine is still being built, which means you will have the opportunity to shape how demand generation works across markets rather than simply inherit an established playbook.

  • As ROI Hunter grows within Pattern, the scope of the role can naturally expand across areas such as:

  • owning a larger share of global demand generation strategy,

  • taking broader responsibility for the US market,

  • taking on wider responsibilities within Pattern’s global marketing organization.

  • Because the role works closely with US-based Marketing, Sales, Events, Alliances and leadership teams, it also offers strong exposure to the wider Pattern organization and opportunities beyond ROI Hunter itself.

  • For someone who is proactive, commercially minded and comfortable building in an evolving environment, this role can grow well beyond its initial scope.

  • What does success look like in the first 30, 60, 90 days?

  • First 30 days: you get oriented. You meet everyone you'll work with and learn where the marketing strategy stands today

  • By 60 days: you own at least two of the five strategy pillars (inbound, partnerships, outbound, events and Pattern ecosystem activation) and work on tasks jointly with Dominika. Preparing for Pattern Accelerate in Utah in May is a major focus in Q1 and likely one of the first big things handed to you

  • By 90 days: you carry roughly 80 to 90 percent of the work with growing autonomy. Dominika stays available as your safety net, and what she wants to see is you managing the workflow, prioritizing well and reporting accurately without feeling overwhelmed

  • What is the team like?

  • You'll report to Dominika Rakyta in Product Marketing, who will also be your direct mentor. Day to day you'll work with the product marketers who train you on the product and messaging, and with the US demand generation specialists who run paid, newsletter and blog work from your briefs. You'll also work closely with Pattern's Alliance, BDR and events teams, and over time you'll present results directly to Pattern leadership.

  • Sounds great! What’s the company culture?

We are looking for individuals who are:

  • Game Changers: A game changer is someone who looks at problems with an open mind and shares new ideas with team members, regularly reassesses existing plans and attaches a realistic timeline to goals, makes profitable, productive, and innovative contributions, and actively pursues improvements to Pattern’s processes and outcomes.

  • Data Fanatics: A data fanatic is someone who recognizes problems and seeks to understand them through data, draws unbiased conclusions based on data that lead to actionable solutions, and continues to track the effects of the solutions using data.

  • Partner Obsessed: An individual who is partner obsessed clearly explains the status of projects to partners and relies on constructive feedback, actively listens to partner’s expectations, and delivers results that exceed them, prioritizes the needs of your partners, and takes the time to create a personable experience for those interacting with Pattern.

  • Team of Doers: Someone who is a part of a team of doers uplifts team members and recognizes their specific contributions, takes initiative to help in any circumstance, actively contributes to supporting improvements, and holds themselves accountable to the team as well as to partners.
