Job Title: Consultant in CAMHS Learning Disabilities Psychiatry
Grade: Consultant
Location: Workington, Cumbria
Working Hours: 40 hours per week
Rate: Competitive, to be discussed upon application

We are seeking a dedicated Consultant in CAMHS Learning Disabilities Psychiatry to work full-time for our private client based in Workington, Cumbria. This locum opportunity is available for an immediate start.

What will your responsibilities be?

This role involves working across inpatient and Community Mental Health Team (CMHT) settings, with a focus on Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) and learning disabilities. Key responsibilities include delivering high-quality psychiatric care, conducting comprehensive assessments, and formulating individualised treatment plans for young people with complex needs. The successful candidate must hold Section 12 approval and be an Approved Clinician. You will be expected to act as the Responsible Clinician (RC), collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and ensure compliance with relevant mental health legislation and clinical standards.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Full GMC registration (essential)
• Section 12 approval
• Approved Clinician status
• Experience in CAMHS, learning disabilities, inpatient, and community settings
• Strong clinical and communication skills
