Job Title: Consultant in Adult Psychiatry
Grade: Consultant
Location: Middlesbrough, Yorkshire
Working Hours: 40 hours per week
Rate: Competitive – to be discussed upon application

We are seeking an enthusiastic Consultant in Adult Psychiatry to work full-time for our NHS client based in Middlesbrough, Yorkshire. This vacancy is available on a locum basis, with an immediate start for a short-term contract.

Key Responsibilities

We are seeking a Consultant for the General Adult Psychiatry Ward. Key responsibilities include providing high-quality patient care, conducting comprehensive assessments, and developing individualised treatment plans.

The role requires Section 12 and Approved Clinician (AC) approval. You will be expected to maintain compliance with all legal obligations as prescribed by the Mental Health Act (MHA) and the Ministry of Justice. You will also be responsible for assessing patients under the MHA, making recommendations, and acting as the Responsible Clinician (RC).

Qualifications and Experience

  • Full GMC registration with a licence to practise
  • Section 12 approval
  • Approved Clinician status
  • Previous experience in a similar role
