We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Locum Oncology Pharmacist to join our team in Sussex. This role is ideal for a dedicated professional who is passionate about providing exceptional pharmaceutical care in an oncology setting. You will be working in a dynamic environment, ensuring the safe and effective use of chemotherapy and other medications for our patients.
What will your responsibilities be:
You will be responsible for screening chemotherapy prescriptions, checking chemotherapy preparations, and providing oncology ward cover. You will manage medication inventories, educate patients on the proper use of medications, and participate in quality improvement initiatives. You will also conduct medication reviews, identify potential drug interactions, and provide expert advice on drug therapy. Collaborating with healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and guidelines will be key aspects of your role. You will also be involved in maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records and ensuring the pharmacy operates efficiently and effectively during your shifts.
