Working hours: Monday & Friday,08:30am-16:30pmWe are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Speech and Language Therapist to join our team in London. This Band 7 role requires a specialist in stroke rehabilitation, offering an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact on patient outcomes. The successful candidate will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care and support to individuals with speech, language, and communication difficulties.
What will your responsibilities be:
In this role, you will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating speech, language, and communication disorders in patients who have experienced a stroke. You will develop and implement individualized treatment plans, monitor patient progress, and adjust interventions as necessary. Additionally, you will provide education and support to patients and their families, collaborate with other healthcare professionals, and contribute to the development of best practices in stroke rehabilitation.
Qualifications and Experiences:

- Degree in Speech and Language Therapy
- Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a clinical setting
- Specialist knowledge and experience in stroke rehabilitation
- Experience in at least one of the following areas: Adult Stroke, Neuro, Acute
- Independent management of dysphagia and communication
- Experience managing complex cases
- Supervision of staff
- Discharge planning
- Highly desirable: experience with tracheostomy, video fluoroscopy, and FEES
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Commitment to continuous professional development
