Job Overview

Pulse is currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Primary Care Pharmacist to work remotely, supporting GP practices and primary care networks. This is a flexible opportunity suitable for Band 7 or Band 8A pharmacists with a strong background in medication reviews and primary care services.

 

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering clinical pharmacy services remotely, including structured medication reviews, optimisation of prescribing, and supporting safe and effective medicines use across primary care settings.

 

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Conduct structured medication reviews for patients in primary care.
  • Support GP practices with medicines optimisation and prescribing audits.
  • Provide clinical advice and guidance to healthcare professionals.
  • Use SystemOne (preferable) or other NHS IT systems to manage patient records.
  • Contribute to the development of safe and effective prescribing pathways.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to clinical governance standards.

 

Qualifications and Experience

To be considered for this role, you must:

  • Be registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
  • Have experience working in primary care or GP practice settings.
  • Be confident in conducting medication reviews and managing prescribing queries.
  • Have experience using SystemOne (preferred but not essential).
  • Demonstrate excellent communication and clinical decision-making skills.
  • Be proactive, organised, and committed to delivering high-quality care remotely.
