Duration: 3 months
Working Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 08:00 - 16:00

Opening Paragraph:
Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust is seeking an experienced and dedicated Locum Physiotherapist to work on the Medical and Frailty Escalation Wards. This is a full-time, 3-month contract, providing an opportunity to work with patients in a fast-paced ward-based setting, including those with complex respiratory conditions and frailty issues. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in emergency department (ED) or acute medical settings, as well as previous NHS Band 7 experience, to deliver high-quality physiotherapy care across a wide range of patient needs.

Responsibilities:
As a Locum Physiotherapist for Medical and Frailty escalation wards, your responsibilities will include providing assessment and treatment for patients on the medical and frailty wards, particularly those with complex respiratory needs. You will support the rehabilitation and mobility of patients, implement appropriate physiotherapy interventions, and manage a caseload of patients. Working alongside a multidisciplinary team, you will provide evidence-based treatments and facilitate patient recovery. You will also contribute to ward rounds, manage respiratory care, and provide education to patients and staff. • Previous NHS Band 7 experience.
  • Experience in medical, frailty, and respiratory care, ideally within a ward-based setting.
