We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join our NHS client in Rotherham, Yorkshire. This locum opportunity is available for an immediate start on a short-term contract.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a defined caseload of clients with complex needs using evidence-based and client-centred principles.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments of functional abilities, sensory needs, and daily living skills.
• Plan, implement, and evaluate individual and group interventions to promote independence and participation in daily life.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, families, and external agencies to ensure holistic care.
• Provide supervision and support to junior staff and students.
• Contribute to service development and quality improvement initiatives.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical records in line with professional and legal standards.

Qualifications & Experience

• Degree or Diploma in Occupational Therapy
• HCPC registration as an Occupational Therapist
• Minimum of 2 years’ post-qualification experience, ideally in community or mental health settings
• Strong clinical reasoning and communication skills
• Experience working within multidisciplinary teams
• Knowledge of relevant legislation and best practices in occupational therapy
