Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Rate: £22-£27 per hour
Duration: Ongoing

We are seeking an exceptionally skilled and motivated Biomedical Scientist specialising in Bacteriology to join our esteemed client in Leicester. This role requires working in a fast-paced and dynamic laboratory environment, where you will be responsible for executing a comprehensive range of bacteriology tests and procedures. Your advanced expertise will be pivotal in ensuring the precision and reliability of test results, which are critical for accurate patient diagnosis and treatment.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for conducting a broad spectrum of bacteriology tests, maintaining, calibrating, and troubleshooting laboratory equipment, and ensuring strict adherence to all relevant health and safety regulations. You will analyse and interpret complex test results with a high degree of accuracy, maintain meticulous records and documentation, and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to deliver superior patient care.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • HCPC registration
  • Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Science or a related field
  • Extensive experience in bacteriology
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Unwavering attention to detail and accuracy
  • Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
