Whittington Health NHS Trust is looking for an experienced Locum Therapy Assistant to join their team at Whittington Hospital in London. This is a full-time role, starting as soon as possible, with an initial contract duration of 2 months. You will support the therapy team in providing patient care and assisting with therapeutic interventions in a clinical setting.

Responsibilities:
As a Locum Therapy Assistant, you will support therapists in delivering treatments and interventions to patients. This will include assisting in patient mobility, supporting exercise programs, and providing therapy interventions as directed by the supervising therapist. You will work closely with patients, ensuring their comfort and safety during therapy sessions. Additionally, you will assist with administrative tasks, maintaining accurate patient records, and contributing to the smooth running of the therapy department.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Previous experience as a Therapy Assistant, ideally within an NHS setting
  • Experience working with patients in rehabilitation or therapy environments
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with patients and team members
  • Ability to follow instructions and contribute to patient care under supervision
  • A proactive and compassionate approach to patient care
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
