Job description

AST SpaceMobile is building the first and only global cellular broadband network in space to operate directly with standard, unmodified mobile devices based on our extensive IP and patent portfolio and designed for both commercial and government applications. Our engineers and space scientists are on a mission to eliminate the connectivity gaps faced by today’s five billion mobile subscribers and finally bring broadband to the billions who remain unconnected.

Position Overview
We are seeking a Planning and Procurement Administrative Specialist to support the Production and Planning departments by ensuring the availability of materials required to meet the manufacturing plan. This role will be responsible for managing purchase requests, monitoring orders, controlling stock levels, and maintaining accurate material data within the ERP system.

Key Responsibilities:
• Generate and manage purchase requisitions based on production needs
• Follow up on open orders with the Purchasing department and suppliers to ensure timely delivery
• Monitor stock levels and coverage of critical materials
• Review material requirements derived from the production plan
• Maintain and update logistical and procurement parameters in the ERP system
• Provide administrative support in the preparation and tracking of production orders
• Review and maintain material data within Bills of Materials (BOM)
• Verify item references, descriptions, units of measure, and other master data
• Collaborate with Engineering, Purchasing, and Production to ensure data consistency in the ERP
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to material data quality
• Prepare periodic reports on stock coverage, critical materials, pending orders, and supply risks
• Maintain KPIs related to procurement and material availability

Qualifications

Education:
Higher Vocational Training (or equivalent) in Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain, Industrial Organization, or a related field

Experience:
A minimum of 2–3 years of experience in industrial environments, logistics, planning, or procurement
Experience working with ERP systems
Advanced level of Microsoft Excel

Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience in manufacturing or production environments
• Familiarity with supply chain processes and inventory control best practices
• Knowledge of BOM management and master data governance

Soft Skills:
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Excellent organizational and prioritization abilities
• Proactive mindset with the ability to anticipate supply risks
• Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams (Production, Purchasing, Engineering, Warehouse)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Technology Stack:
• ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar)
• Microsoft Excel (advanced)
• Microsoft Office Suite

Physical Requirements
• Ability to work in a standard office environment and use a computer for extended periods.
