Mission and Outcomes

We are seeking Account Executives with experience in Government Tech (GovTech) sales to join our team. This role involves identifying, prospecting, qualifying, and closing public safety departments around the country. Candidates are passionate and excited to bring drones as first responders (DFR) to the public safety market and are experienced in engaging with law enforcement, fire departments, and other identified end users.

This is an individual contributor role that reports directly to our Senior VP of Business Development. This position is listed as Remote in the United States as we’re seeking candidates in several regions but will require travel as needed to our Los Angeles HQ and up to 50% of domestic (US) travel. We’re offering a base + commission compensation structure with an annual target $300k OTE; our base salary range for this role is $125-150k. 

Responsibilities:

  • New Business Development: Identify and pursue opportunities for new business with prospective clients, understanding their requirements and proposing appropriate technology solutions.
  • Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain relationships with existing clients, understanding their needs, challenges, and objectives.
  • Sales Strategy Development: Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue targets, including identifying key decision-makers, understanding market trends, and positioning products/services effectively.
  • Proposal Creation and Presentation: Prepare proposals, presentations, and demonstrations tailored to the needs of clients, effectively communicating the value proposition of the technology solutions offered.
  • Negotiation and Closing Deals: Negotiate terms and contracts with clients, ensuring a mutually beneficial agreement is reached, and deals are closed effectively.
  • Market Research and Analysis: Stay updated on industry trends, competitors, and market developments, providing insights to inform sales strategies and product development.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with other teams such as marketing, product development, and customer support to ensure alignment in messaging, product offerings, and customer satisfaction.
  • Sales Reporting and Forecasting: Maintain accurate records of sales activities, generate reports, and provide forecasts to management, helping to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Continuous Learning and Skill Development: Stay updated on advancements in technology and sales techniques, continuously improving knowledge and skills to remain competitive in the industry.

Competencies 

  • Experience selling into the GovTech space with knowledge and understanding of technology sales and public safety procurement (targeting 4+ years)
  • Understanding of the US drone market (targeting 2+ years) 
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills 
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a startup team environment
