We work alongside our customers as a partner, and we hold ourselves to a high standard for how data are gathered, governed, and put to use.

The Vice President will lead ESO strategy for building evidence, measuring performance, and demonstrating results. This executive will set the research agenda, define how performance is measured, and make sure the outcomes we deliver are clear, credible, and tied to business and customer value.

The ideal candidate is a proven leader who pairs analytical rigor with sound business judgment and can turn findings into decisions that teams across the company can act on.

Key responsibilities

Research

  • Design and oversee studies and analyses with strong methodology, data governance, and ethical standards.
  • Establish research partnerships with academic institutions, industry groups, and other external organizations.
  • Lead publication and thought leadership strategy, including whitepapers, conference presentations, and executive briefings.

Performance

  • Define the metrics, benchmarks, and standards ESO and its customers use to evaluate performance.
  • Build reporting and review practices that give leaders a clear, accurate view of what is working and what is not.
  • Identify gaps in data quality, measurement, and reporting, and lead efforts to close them.
  • Partner with product, analytics, and operations teams to turn performance insights into practical improvements.

Outcomes

  • Lead return on investment (ROI) and value realization studies that show measurable results for customers.
  • Translate research and performance findings into product direction, customer value, and business strategy.
  • Support sales and growth efforts with evidence, case studies, and presentations to customer leadership.
  • Represent ESO externally through industry engagement, speaking, and advisory roles.

Leadership and collaboration

  • Build and scale the research, performance, and outcomes function, including hiring and developing direct reports.
  • Partner with executive leadership and cross-functional teams to advance an integrated ESO data and research strategy.

Required qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in a relevant field; advanced degree preferred.
  • 10 or more years of progressive experience, including at least five years leading research, performance measurement, analytics, or outcomes work.
  • Demonstrated research record, such as published work, study design and execution, or funded research.
  • Experience defining metrics and building performance and reporting frameworks at an organizational level.
  • Proven ability to translate data and findings into business decisions and measurable results.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to engage executives, technical teams, customers, and external partners.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced technology environment.
