Job description

COMPANY OVERVIEW

KKR is a leading global investment firm that offers alternative asset management as well as capital markets and insurance solutions. KKR aims to generate attractive investment returns by following a patient and disciplined investment approach, employing world-class people, and supporting growth in its portfolio companies and communities. KKR sponsors investment funds that invest in private equity, credit and real assets and has strategic partners that manage hedge funds. KKR’s insurance subsidiaries offer retirement, life and reinsurance products under the management of Global Atlantic Financial Group. References to KKR’s investments may include the activities of its sponsored funds and insurance subsidiaries.

POSITION OVERVIEW

KKR Global Treasury is seeking an AVP to help lead day-to-day treasury operations across the firm’s investment platforms, including cash management, wire payments, collateral management, and FX settlements, while also driving process improvement and technology initiatives for the team. This individual will act as a primary point of contact for internal and external parties on Treasury-related matters, will help set priorities and quality standards for more junior team members, and will represent Treasury on cross-functional projects. The ideal candidate combines strong technical treasury knowledge with the judgment, communication skills, and ownership mentality expected of a senior individual contributor who may also mentor junior analysts.

TEAM SUMMARY

The Global Treasury team sits within the Global Operations group at KKR and supports all treasury and cash management activity across the firm’s investment platforms. This includes capital calls and distributions, deal funding and closing, bank account management, FX settlements, liquidity management, collateral management, and credit-related treasury activity. As the team continues to scale and shift its focus toward continuous improvement, it is seeking a high-performing AVP who excels in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment and is comfortable owning outcomes with limited day-to-day oversight.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Deal Funding, Cash and Management & Liquidity

  • Review balances and upcoming deal activity to ensure KKR funds maintain sufficient liquidity to fulfil obligations.
  • Facilitate deal closings through proactive stakeholder and timeline coordination, from account setup through transaction settlement.
  • Monitor and ensure timely loan repayments and proactive cash flow management.
  • Partner with the Complex Liquidity and Cash Management team to recommend and execute facility borrows and repayments, FX swaps, and internal transfers to maximize portfolio yield.
  • Partner with the Asset Liability Portfolio Servicing group on reconciliation efforts to ensure accurate data for internal reporting.
  • Raise and process FX settlements to fund bank accounts ahead of transaction settlement.
  • Initiate and review wire payments, including revolving credit facility drawdowns, direct deal funding, FX settlements, collateral movements, internal cash movements, and quarterly fund distributions.
  • Execute and independently review wire transfers for deal closings in accordance with firm policy and serving as a second-line reviewer for junior team members’ transactions.
  • Optimize yield strategies for uninvested capital across entities and Open-Ended funds.

Process Improvement, Technology & Stakeholder management

  • Identify and drive process standardization and efficiency improvements across the Treasury function, including automation of manual workflows and AI implementation.
  • Lead implementation and enhancement of the firm’s Treasury Management System (Hazeltree) and related data infrastructure.
  • Represent Treasury Operations on cross-functional projects and ad hoc initiatives, partnering with Legal, Tax, Fund Finance, and other Operations teams.
  • Act as a primary point of contact for internal clients, custodians, fund administrators, and other counterparties, ensuring Treasury-related issues are resolved promptly and accurately.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with deal teams, banking partners and outsourced service providers.
  • Ensure compliance with audit requirements and SOX regulations, including ownership of related documentation and control testing.
  • Serve as a day-to-day resource and informal mentor for analysts and senior analysts, reviewing their work and helping develop their technical and professional skills.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 7-10+ years of experience in Treasury, Cash Management, or Investment Operations, ideally within an Alternative Asset Management or Credit environment.
  • Prior experience reviewing or overseeing the work of junior team members; formal people-management experience is a plus but not required.
  • Knowledge of Private Credit, and broader investment management industry dynamics; familiarity with corporate bonds, loans, asset-backed securities, and equities is a plus.
  • Experience with deal funding cycles and complex alternative asset fund structures.
  • Strong awareness of risks and controls related to the settlement environment, with demonstrated attention to detail regarding wire fraud prevention.
  • Proven track record improving processes through technology; Treasury Management System and banking portal experience required.
  • Experience with Hazeltree, BMS Everest, and/or Advent Geneva strongly preferred.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build relationships across teams and influence without direct authority.
  • Self-starter who is accountable, adaptable, and operates with a strong sense of professionalism and integrity.
  • Comfort using AI-powered tools to improve productivity and quality of work.
