What we’re hiring for: 

We are a growing fintech organization looking to add a Senior Front-End Engineer and technical Lead to our Engineering Team. 

As a Lead Senior Front-End Developer at E6, you will define the architectural direction of our Dashboard, an application that enables client product managers and customer service agents the ability to interact with the E6 Platform in real-time. You will partner closely with Product to refine user experience, clarify requirements, and drive backlog prioritization. This role is ideal for someone who wants to influence both technical strategy and engineering team development.

We are on a mission to transform our Dashboard to increase development efficiencies while maintaining a leading user experience. You will be responsible for creating an intuitive, responsive web application that provides seamless client user interaction with the E6 Platform. 

What you’ll be responsible for in this role: 

• Leading Dashboard architecture and front-end best practices. 
• Collaborating closely with Product to refine requirements, manage and prioritize the engineering backlog. 
• Mentoring developers, guiding code quality through reviews, and driving engineering excellence, testing adoption, and performance improvements. 
• Defining and enforcing best practices for web application development to optimize usability, performance, and scalability. 
• Defining and developing React components with optimal reusability, responsiveness, and containment 
• Ensuring effective React component development using of open source web application frameworks including React, TypeScript and/or JavaScript 
• Defining and enforcing optimal statement management within the Dashboard using Redux and/or React Hooks 
• Ensuring styling alignment across the Dashboard using CSS, SCSS, and/or SASS 
• Ensuring effective integration with the E6 Platform APIs which optimizes API resources and atomicity of React components using Axios or Fetch 
• Ensuring effective multi-lingual support across the entire Dashboard 
• Collaborating closely with back-end developers, UX/UI designers, and other stakeholders to create a seamless and engaging user experience 
• Implementing reusable components, optimizing web pages for maximum speed, and ensuring responsiveness across a wide range of devices and browsers. 
• Conduct debugging and root cause analysis of Dashboard issues and implement quick and effective solutions 
• Understand and implement against Dashboard product requirements written using behavior-driven development (BDD) 
• Drive the implementation of testing across the Dashboard including Jest, React Testing Library, and/or Cypress unit testing, automated Selenium testing, and manual user testing 
• Participate in code reviews to maintain high code quality and ensure consistency in development standards. 
• Stay up to date with the latest web technologies and industry trends to ensure we’re building the best products possible. 

What experiences and skills are necessary to be successful in this role: 

• 7+ years of experience working as a Front-End Developer with a focus on building rich user interfaces and performant web applications. 
• Proficiency in React, TypeScript, JavaScrip, Redux, React Hooks, CSS, SCSS, and SASS with a strong understanding of state management, component lifecycle, API integration, and styling 
• Experience working with RESTful APIs to integrate with backend services. 
• Knowledge of front-end build tools and package managers such as Webpack, Babel, and npm/yarn. 
• Familiarity with performance optimization techniques such as lazy loading, code splitting, and reducing render times. 
• Experience with UI testing frameworks like Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress, and/or Selenium is a plus 
• Knowledge of cloud platforms like AWS is a plus
