Job description

About Perry Weather

Perry Weather is the weather safety standard for organizations that operate outdoors. We combine on-site weather hardware with a software platform that automates alerts, siren activations, and safety decisions for more than 3,000 organizations — from the PGA of America, the NFL, and MLB to Turner Construction, thousands of school districts, cities, and golf courses. We've grown 80%+ annually for five consecutive years, and are continuing to grow.

We're headquartered in Dallas at The Centrum, in the Oak Lawn neighborhood, where our teams work together every day to help organizations make faster and safer decisions when weather puts people, assets, and operations at risk.

About the Role

As a Sales Development Representative, you’re the first conversation many organizations will ever have with Perry Weather. That first impression shapes the rest of their relationship with us. You’ll find new prospects, start conversations by phone, email, LinkedIn, events, etc. and qualify the right organizations into a sales cycle with one of our Account Executives.

This is a high-activity, high-ownership role. You’ll learn a lot, get a lot of reps in, and your work will directly drive company revenue.

Responsibilities

  • Prospect every day: Make a high volume of cold calls. Back them up with personalized emails and LinkedIn outreach to athletic directors, superintendents, city officials, safety managers, and other decision-makers.

  • Research: Learn the organizations and people you’re contacting so every touch is relevant and well timed.

  • Educate and qualify: Help prospects understand the risk they face and how Perry Weather solves it. Then decide whether they’re a real fit.

  • Book demonstration calls: Turn conversations into qualified meetings for our Account Executives.

  • Own the handoff: Pass each opportunity to the assigned AE with clear context so the prospect never has to repeat themselves.

  • Hit your numbers: Meet or beat weekly and monthly activity and meeting quotas.

  • Keep our data clean: Log activity and notes accurately in HubSpot so the whole team can act on them.

Requirements

  • Exhibit Perry Weather’s Core Values: Clever Thinker, Grinder, Adaptable, Humbly Confident

  • A relational, people-first mindset - You like talking to people and you care about helping them.

  • Strong goal orientation by finding consistent and creative ways to hit your targets.

  • Solid organization and critical thinking, plus the ability to think on your feet.

  • Clear, professional communication, both written and verbal.

Sales experience isn’t required. Great SDRs come from all kinds of backgrounds: athletics, coaching, teaching, service industries, non-profits, and more. If you’re competitive, coachable, and like a challenge, we want to hear from you.

Nice to have

  • Experience with HubSpot or another CRM, a background in K-12 athletics, local government, or other safety-oriented leadership roles.

Benefits

  • You'll want to come into the office. Our Oak Lawn office isn't just a place to sit — it's where ideas move fast and culture stays strong. The whole team is here Monday through Friday, which means real collaboration, no chasing people down over Slack, and a genuinely fun place to spend your work days.

  • Your wellbeing is covered. Competitive health insurance, 401(k) with employer matching, and a full suite of voluntary benefits, because you shouldn't have to think twice about the basics.

  • Good people, good times. Monthly All-Hands, Office Olympics, happy hours, and more. We take the work seriously and the culture seriously too.

  • You're getting in early, and that matters. We're growing fast, but the biggest opportunities are still ahead. The people joining now will help shape what Perry Weather becomes.
