Job description

SourceDay Sales -  Development Representative (SDR)

Location: Austin, TX office - US

SourceDay protects revenue, margin, and cash flow by keeping purchase orders aligned with supplier reality, even as delivery dates, prices, and quantities change. As the purchase order management platform with the largest direct spend supplier network, SourceDay connects ERP systems to 46K suppliers and 125K+ supplier entities, so every PO stays confirmed, current, and controlled. Automation identifies and surfaces risk early while decisions stay with procurement. With certified integrations for Infor, Epicor, NetSuite, and Acumatica, and a team that carries most of the implementation work, manufacturers and distributors improve on-time delivery, reduce buffer stock, and prevent production disruption, with results in weeks, not months.

The primary role of the SourceDay Sales Development Representative (SDR) is to build pipeline through both inbound and outbound activities. An SDR is responsible for leveraging both internal and external data to identify target accounts within SourceDay’s ICP and prospect into these accounts to engage prospects and initiate qualified sales opportunities. They are the first salespeople to qualify or disqualify that an account and contact are a good fit and book a discovery call with a Sr. Sales Representative if applicable.

SDRs will have a base salary along with a variable compensation plan that is performance driven. Variable compensation is based on a point system that balances quantity of meetings held with opportunities that progress through a sales cycle.

  • Efficiently and effectively qualify warm leads and inbound demo requests in a thorough and timely manner
  • Perform pre- and post- event outreach for in person and virtual events
  • Interact by phone, email, and social media at all levels within a prospective customer account, up to and including, C-Level executives
  • Acquire & maintain a solid understanding of supply chain and procurement to become a trusted advisor to prospects

  • Demonstrate initiative, creativity & collaboration through ad-hoc projects for various departments
  • Maintain daily activity metrics (calls, emails, account research )
  • Willingness to represent SourceDay at tradeshows (1-2 per year)

Qualifications

  • 1 - 3 years experience as SDR/BDR in a B2B SaaS company
  • Able to demonstrate time management, basic telesales skills, and knowledge of  SourceDay services, and the supply chain and procurement industries
  • Goal oriented individual with superior communication skills and demonstrated ability to communicate technical concepts
  • Demonstrated discipline to follow sales process and operational procedures, and required steps to document work in tools like Salesforce, Gong, ZoomInfor, and Salesloft
  • Familiarity with AI as a tool for efficiency and research, not a replacement for human communication skills
  • Hybrid workplace: 3 days in office required with 2 days remote
  • Working knowledge of supply chain, ERP, or procurement is a plus but not necessary.
  • Professional demeanor
  • Able to work collaboratively and independently with internal team mates and stakeholders. This includes the ability to gain functional competence with a drive to acquire a higher level understanding of the role, sales process, systems and procedures.
