About AutoRABIT

AutoRABIT is revolutionizing DevOps and data protection for Salesforce teams operating in complex, highly regulated environments. Our platform integrates CI/CD, compliance, release orchestration, and AI powered automation to improve software delivery, reduce risk, and increase velocity. With a foundation in Lean principles, we focus on eliminating waste, driving innovation, and delivering scalable value for our customers.

Position Summary

AutoRABIT is seeking an exceptional Principal Software Engineer to serve as a senior individual contributor within our global Engineering organization. This IC-6 role is designed for an engineer who thrives on solving complex technical challenges, accelerating engineering execution, and driving innovation across the organization.

This is not an architecture only position. We are looking for a highly technical, AI forward, hands on engineer with deep Java and enterprise software development experience. The ideal candidate enjoys writing production code, building intelligent solutions, mentoring engineers, and delivering measurable business outcomes.

Candidates must bring demonstrated experience applying AI technologies and modern AI assisted development practices to real engineering challenges. We are looking for someone who is already leveraging AI to improve how software is designed, developed, tested, and delivered.

Working closely with Engineering, Product, Architecture, and Executive Leadership, this individual will influence technical strategy while remaining deeply involved in implementation and execution.

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Leadership

  • Serve as a technical leader across engineering teams and product initiatives.

  • Influence architectural direction while remaining actively engaged in software development.

  • Design and implement scalable, secure, reliable, and high performance enterprise software solutions.

  • Partner with Engineering leadership to solve complex technical challenges.

AI First Engineering

  • Champion practical AI assisted software development practices across Engineering.

  • Design and build AI powered capabilities that improve developer productivity and customer value.

  • Evaluate emerging AI technologies, including LLMs, AI agents, RAG, and agentic development workflows.

  • Demonstrate sound judgment regarding where AI creates value and where traditional engineering approaches are more appropriate.

  • Mentor engineers on responsible AI adoption, technical evaluation, and modern development practices.

Hands On Software Development

  • Write, review, test, and maintain high quality production code.

  • Lead complex development initiatives from design through production deployment.

  • Troubleshoot critical production issues and deliver practical, sustainable solutions.

  • Drive technical excellence across Java applications, APIs, microservices, and cloud native architectures.

  • Establish engineering practices that improve software quality, maintainability, and delivery.

Innovation & Continuous Improvement

  • Identify technical debt and lead modernization initiatives.

  • Improve application performance, scalability, reliability, and developer productivity.

  • Champion automation, engineering excellence, and continuous learning.

  • Prototype and evaluate technologies that strengthen AutoRABIT's enterprise platform.

Collaboration & Mentorship

  • Mentor senior engineers and emerging technical leaders.

  • Collaborate with Product Management, Architecture, Security, and DevOps teams.

  • Translate complex technical concepts into actionable recommendations.

  • Foster a culture of accountability, curiosity, collaboration, and execution.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 15+ years of professional software engineering experience delivering enterprise scale applications.

  • Expert level proficiency in Java, modern software engineering practices, and distributed systems.

  • Strong experience with Spring Boot, APIs, microservices, cloud native development, and enterprise application architecture.

  • Demonstrated hands on experience using AI assisted development tools to improve engineering productivity.

  • Experience building AI powered software products, integrations, or developer productivity solutions.

  • Familiarity with Large Language Models, Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG), AI agents, Model Context Protocol (MCP), or comparable AI technologies.

  • Deep understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure, including modern cloud architecture and AI integration capabilities.

  • Experience with CI/CD, DevSecOps, Kubernetes, containers, and Infrastructure as Code.

  • Experience developing enterprise SaaS products, preferably within the Salesforce ecosystem.

  • Demonstrated ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical and production issues.

  • Experience mentoring senior engineers and leading technical initiatives across teams.

  • Contributions to open source projects, technical publications, patents, or other demonstrated technical leadership.

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence technical decisions without direct authority.

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with globally distributed engineering teams while working remotely within the United States.

Compensation

Compensation range is $210,000 - $235,000 depending on experience, plus bonus
