Job description

Latitude AI (lat.ai) is building the future of Ford’s autonomy roadmap to make travel safer, less stressful, and more enjoyable for everyone. Bringing this vision to scale, our fully in-house developed hands-free ADAS platform will debut on the all-new Ford Fathom in 2027.

When you join the Latitude team, you’ll work alongside leading experts across machine learning and robotics, cloud platforms, mapping, sensors and compute systems, test operations, systems and safety engineering – all dedicated to redefining the relationship between people and their vehicles for millions of customers.

As a Ford Motor Company subsidiary, we operate independently to develop automated driving technology at the speed of a technology startup. Latitude is headquartered in Pittsburgh with engineering centers in Dearborn, Mich., and Palo Alto, Calif.

Meet the team:

The Continual Services Improvement (CSI) team operates as a service organization supporting all departments across Latitude, housed within Latitude Operations. The team's core function is to drive enterprise-wide excellence by providing integrative project and program management, enhancing efficiency, policy development, and data analytics. Our primary objective is to be the premier enablers of excellence within the organization.

This contract will be 12 months in length.

What you’ll do:

  • Apply strong exploratory data analysis skills to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities within complex datasets.
  • Navigate and query various data management systems, primarily BigQuery schemas, to extract and manipulate raw data.
  • Construct, optimize, and troubleshoot complex SQL queries to join, filter, and transform data from disparate tables.
  • Leverage development tools like dbt (data build tool) within a code repository to build, test, and deploy production-level data models used by multiple teams.
  • Actively investigate and resolve data quality issues across various data tables to ensure accuracy and reliability.
  • Efficiently review and understand existing complex queries by tracing and interpreting multiple layers of data logic.
  • Interface with version control systems, specifically Git and GitHub, by creating feature branches, committing changes, and submitting pull requests for code review.
  • Assist in implementing lightly scripted solutions for data intake and integrations between our applications.

What you'll need to succeed:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field
  • 2+ years experience in a data analysis or business intelligence role
  • Technical proficiency in multiple coding languages including SQL, Python, C++, and Javascript for data manipulation and software integration
  • Experience operating within Linux environments to manage files, execute scripts, and navigate server-side directories
  • Advanced expertise in writing, optimizing, and troubleshooting complex SQL queries for extracting and transforming data from cloud-based database schemas
  • Hands-on experience with data transformation tools and version control systems like Git to build and maintain production-level data models
  • Knowledge of Jira and Atlassian automation to configure technical workflows, manage task tracking, and streamline project delivery
  • Strong skill set in exploratory data analysis and identifying logic-based solutions for data intake and application integrations
