A successful candidate will be reliable, detail-oriented and organized, comfortable working with chemicals and battery materials under established procedures, and will appreciate a fast-paced startup environment.

The Materials and Logistics Coordinator reports to the Global Supply Chain Lead and works closely with the logistics, production, quality, facilities and finance teams. • Label and store materials in approved locations following chemical compatibility and storage requirements, and keep receiving and storage areas clean and organized
  • Maintain accurate inventory records, perform cycle counts and periodic physical inventories, and flag shortages, discrepancies and expiring materials
  • Keep shipping supplies and packaging materials stocked
  • Create purchase orders from approved requests, route approvals, and issue POs to suppliers, and place routine orders through the company purchasing system within assigned approval limits
  • Follow up on order confirmations, expected delivery dates and open orders
  • Reconcile carrier and supplier invoices against shipment and receiving records, assign cost codes, submit invoices for payment, and pay authorized charges by company card within assigned limits.
  • Track invoice approval and payment status with approvers and Finance, respond to supplier and carrier payment inquires, and keep PO, receiving, shipping and invoice records organized
  • Coordinate with customs brokers on inbound international shipments, including TSCA certification and import documentation.
  • Prepare dangerous goods shipments per approved procedures and, after completing DOT and IATA certification and company authorization, act as a certified dangerous goods shipper; escalate compliance questions and transport exceptions to the designated logistics lead.
  • Follow site safety and hazardous materials procedures, use required PPE, and promptly report damaged parts or unsafe conditions.
  • Work in-person, on-site at Anthro's facility in Alameda, CA

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in shipping and receiving, inventory control or material handling, ideally in a manufacturing, laboratory or chemical environment; a college degree is not required

  • Able to lift up to 50 lb.; forklift or pallet jack certification, or willingness to obtain it
  • Experience with battery cells, specialty chemicals or laboratory supplies is a plus
  • Reliable and organized, with strong accuracy in data entry and recordkeeping, good follow-through on routine tasks and good judgment on when to escalate

Benefits

  • Competitive salary and equity compensation commensurate with experience. Expected salary range is $32-45 / hour.
  • 15 Vacation Days, 10+ Holidays, Sick time off
