Working Pattern: 37.5 hours per week
We are currently seeking a Band 6 Locum Anatomical Pathology Technologist to join our client’s team in the Northwest of England. This would be a full‑time, ongoing position working 37.5 hours per week, offering a competitive hourly rate and the opportunity to contribute to a busy and well‑established mortuary service.
You will support the delivery of a high‑quality mortuary service, including assisting with post‑mortem examinations, ensuring accurate documentation, maintaining equipment, and adhering to HTA standards. You will work collaboratively with pathologists, coroners’ officers, and wider clinical teams to ensure safe and respectful care of the deceased.
Diploma Level 3 in Anatomical Pathology Technology (or equivalent)
HTA compliance knowledge
Experience working within an NHS or public sector mortuary
Experience with mortuary equipment
Strong organisational and communication skills
Ability to work sensitively and professionally in a mortuary environment
NHS experience (preferred)
