Job description
Restaurant365 is a SaaS company disrupting the restaurant industry! Our cloud-based platform provides a unique, centralized solution for accounting and back-office operations for restaurants. Restaurant365’s culture is focused on empowering team members to produce top-notch results while elevating their skills. We’re constantly evolving and improving to make sure we are and always will be “Best in Class” ... and we want that for you too!

The Instructional Video Editor produces and edits high-quality instructional video content that supports client adoption and advances R365's learning and certification strategy. Working in tandem with instructional designers, this role translates defined instructional intent into finished video that makes complex product concepts easy to understand.

The core of the role is custom content creation, with a primary emphasis on 3D animation, along with motion graphics and original visual assets built to specification. This work demands strong post-production craft and fluency across a professional toolset. The Instructional Video Editor owns editorial execution: assembly, pacing, motion, and finish, delivering against timelines, brand standards, and defined quality bars.

How you'll add value:
  • Edit, assemble, and produce 3D, footage, and custom instructional videos from storyboards and scripts.

  • Create custom content, with a primary focus on 3D animation, motion graphics, and original visual assets.

  • Collaborate with instructional designers to translate storyboards and instructional intent into finished video.

  • Integrate narration, on-screen text, and graphics that support defined instructional intent.

  • Scope and manage multiple concurrent projects, determining level of effort (LOE), timelines, and sequencing to meet delivery deadlines.

  • Organize and manage project assets by intaking, cataloging, and maintaining footage and production libraries to ensure version control and efficient reuse.

  • Maintain visibility into all assigned deliverables by updating project milestones, task progress, and capacity tracking for team alignment and reporting.

  • Apply established AI-assisted workflows to streamline production and improve quality.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with instructional designers, editors, and project leads to ensure consistent, high-quality deliverables.

  • Other duties as assigned.

KEY METRICS FOR SUCCESS

  • Billable Deliverables: Consistently meet or exceed capacity targets.

  • Task Completion: Complete all assigned deliverables accurately and on schedule.

  • Video Output: Deliver custom video content within estimated level of effort (LOE) and defined quality standards.

  • Utilization rate.

  • Successful implementation of instructional design parameters.

  • Time Tracking: Maintain accuracy in time logged.

What you'll need to be successful in this role:
  • 4+ years of experience in 3D video animation, video editing, motion design, or instructional media production.
    • Proficiency with 3D animation tools, Blender, Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere, After Effects), and Camtasia.

    • Demonstrated ability to produce 3D graphics using Blender, original media assets, animation, and visual narratives to specification.

    • Fluent English proficiency, written and verbal, sufficient to produce client-facing narration and on-screen text.

    • Familiarity with LMS platforms.

    • Strong project management and organizational skills, with experience managing multiple concurrent projects.

    • Excellent collaboration and communication skills across multidisciplinary teams.

    • Ability to leverage large language models (LLMs), custom GPTs, or AI workflows to enhance production efficiency.

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • Experience within SaaS, restaurant, or technology education contexts.

    • Background in instructional design or learning and development.

    • Experience mentoring peers in storytelling, visual design, or production processes.
