Job title: Head of Product
Job location: New York City
Job listing URL: https://www.ycombinator.com/companies/chariot-2/jobs/wDahI0O-head-of-product
Job description: ## Job Description Chariot is at an inflection point: three product lines (DAFpay, Gift Processing, Disbursements), $1.8B+ in annualized payment volume, and a product function that has been founder-led to date. You'll own the product function at the highest level: the company-visible roadmap, prioritization across surfaces, product analytics, process, and team structure. You'll build the roadmapping and metrics discipline the company runs on — and grow and lead a small (soon larger) PM team. This is not a pure leadership perch. Like everyone at Chariot, you stay hands-on: close to customers, close to the product, personally owning the most important problem statements while operating above the individual product areas and making everything fit together cohesively. - **Work with co-founders to clarify, execute, and measure progress towards product strategy and vision** - **Stand up the roadmapping function** - **Define product metrics & forecasting** - **Personally own top-level problem statements** - **Make the PM team successful** ## 👤 About You **Must Haves** - 12+ years in product - You've led and grown product teams, as a product leader or founder, and scaled a company from Series A to Series D or beyond (or equivalent: grew through hypergrowth, e.g. 30 → 300 people) - You come from an excellent company with a genuinely high product bar - Still an operator: you can personally scope, spec, and ship - Highly organized and detail-oriented: you bring the structure and process a fast-moving team needs, without ceremony - Technically credible: you understand what it takes to build things and can hold your own with strong engineers - NYC (in office Monday-Thursday) **Nice to Haves** - Fintech / payments / money-movement product experience - Familiarity with the nonprofit sector or philanthropy ## 📚 What you’ll get from Chariot At Chariot, we are building modern, end-to-end payment infrastructure making donors' lives easier, and nonprofits' lives better. $600B gets donated to charity each year in the US and the existing technology/infrastructure was still built for our grandparents generation. Chariot is here to change that. - **Traction.** Annualizing over $1.8B in payment volume through Chariot. Tens of thousands of nonprofits already onboarded including American Cancer Society, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, and University of Pennsylvania. - **Impact:** That money services nonprofits working in homelessness, health, education, the environment, and so much more. - **Market opportunity:** Billion dollar revenue opportunity. Fintech company operating in an untapped $600B market - **The Team.** \>30% of Charioteers are former founders. NYC office, in-person Monday through Thursday, WFH Friday. The [public handbook](https://chariot-1.gitbook.io/public-employee-handbook) shows how we operate. ## ❤️ Employee Benefits - 🏥 **Healthcare:** Comprehensive healthcare, including options that are 100% covered by Chariot for you - 🌴 **Time-Off:** 18 days PTO and 13 holidays - take the time off that you want and need to relax and recharge - 👶 **Parental Leave:** 100% paid parental leave, including 12 weeks for primary caregivers - 🍽️ **Team Lunches:** Weekly team lunches - 🌯 **Dinner on Chariot:** Free dinner every day at office past 8pm - 🎉 **Team Events:** Monthly team building events - 💎 **Employee-friendly equity:** 2 year exercise window and double-trigger acceleration - 😎 **Company Retreats:** To get away - we all convene 2-3x / year company retreats - 🎁 **Matching Gifts:** Matching DAFs and daily charitable giving through [GoodToday](https://goodtoday.org/)
