What you will do
You'll support the Accounting team with core day-to-day finance operations and month-end activities, helping keep processes accurate, organized, and moving smoothly. This is an early-career internship designed for someone who wants hands-on exposure to accounting operations, reconciliations, and cross-functional finance support in a fast-moving global company. What makes this different: you'll join at a moment where Lighthouse is actively exploring how AI can improve finance workflows. Alongside learning the fundamentals of accounting operations, you'll gain exposure to a team that is focused on process improvement, automation, and smarter ways of working.
Where you will have impact
- Support the day-to-day accounting operation.
- Contribute to accurate processing, organization, and follow-through across routine finance activities.
- Assist during month-end close: provide hands-on support with close-related work, including bank reconciliations, account reconciliations, and other tasks tied to monthly reporting cycles.
- Work across multiple entities and systems.
- Use AI thoughtfully in your day-to-day work and contribute ideas for making processes more efficient.
About our team
You will join the broader Lighthouse finance team, an international group of 35+ professionals. Day-to-day, you'll work within a 15-person team worldwide and collaborate closely with our Spain team in Barcelona. You'll work with experienced teammates, gain exposure to real accounting processes, and see how a global finance organization balances operational excellence with ongoing systems and automation improvements.

Who you are
- You are in the final stage of your degree, or recently completing it, and are looking for an entry-level opportunity to build experience in accounting and finance operations.
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Finance, Hospitality, or a related field.
- Available for a 30–40 hour/week internship of 4 to 5 months, starting September 2026.
- You bring a strong willingness to learn, a proactive mindset, and the energy to support the team wherever needed.
- Detail-oriented and highly organized, with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-moving environment.
- You communicate clearly and professionally in Spanish and English, both in writing and verbally.
- A collaborative team player with a positive, can-do attitude.
- You are curious about AI and new technologies, and you already use or explore tools like Claude or similar in your studies or personal projects.
