The Role

This is a full-time, year-round role.

What You’ll Own

Facility Administration:

  • Own all areas of event execution and serve as the primary on-site contact for LOVB Miami home competitions, managing bookings, contracts, venue staffing, services, and post-event settlement in partnership with the VP.
  • Develop and maintain venue-specific standard operating procedures and game day playbooks, including floor plans, load-in/load-out timelines, run-of-show, room assignments, concourse activations, staffing plans, catering, credentialing, and security coordination.
  • Serve as the point of contact for teams, media, LOVB staff, and volunteers before, during, and after each competition, and provide detailed facility information to external partners to ensure activations and production needs are met.
  • Communicate event logistics to LOVB Central Staff ahead of each competition and ensure all league requirements are fulfilled.
  • Source and manage third-party vendors for staffing, security, rentals, and production as needed.
  • Assist in creation and implementation of Emergency Action Plans (EAPs).

Volleyball Operations at Events:

  • Coordinate with Pro Operations on the training and scheduling of on-court game day staff and volunteers, including ball crew and floor wipers.
  • Coordinate competition-day setup of team areas and ensure all tasks meet established league standards.
  • Develop home event plans that integrate production timelines, staffing, and team logistics.
  • Participate in post-event evaluation meetings with Central Staff, events staff, and Directors of Volleyball Operations (DOVO).

Year-Round Events & Planning:

  • Provide operational support for offseason and non-match events, including season launch events, open practices, and community events.
  • In partnership with the President, lead next-season operational planning, including venue calendar, vendor agreements, staffing models, and equipment needs.
  • Recruit, onboard, and maintain a pool of game day staff, contractors, and volunteers.

Event Administration:

  • Build and manage event budgets and execute all events and matches within approved financial parameters.
  • Manage the local storage facility, including inventory, equipment maintenance, shipping and receiving, and organization.
  • Coordinate logistics of equipment delivery, install, and return to storage.
  • Deliver post-event reporting, operational analysis, and process recommendations.
  • Deliver all events with a focus on sustainability and reuse.

Fan Experience:

  • In partnership with the VP of Marketing & Fan Experience, optimize the in-venue fan journey, from arrival and entry through concourse, seating, and exit, identifying and resolving friction points.
  • Partner with the rest of the marketing team to operationally support match day promotions, theme nights, giveaways, and fan engagement elements.
  • Partner with Partnerships to operationally execute sponsor activations, signage, and hospitality to contracted standards.
  • Review fan feedback and operational data from match to match to continuously raise the bar on the match day experience.
