Reporting to the Executive Producer, this role will lead content planning and production support for more than 100 live matches across linear, streaming, and social platforms. The Coordinating Producer will ensure the broadcast team has the content, assets, and production support needed to deliver each match in an exciting, celebratory, and informative way.

This individual will also help extend the life of LOVB's broadcast content beyond the final whistle by connecting live production efforts with social and digital content opportunities.

The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, can manage multiple simultaneous workstreams, and consistently stays ahead of production needs. A strong understanding of live sports production and experience working across linear, streaming, and social environments is strongly preferred.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Content Planning and Production

  • Lead content planning and production for live match broadcasts across linear, streaming, and social platforms.
  • Develop and manage a content planning system that captures the needs of each match and translates them into prioritized production assignments.
  • Coordinate with game producers ahead of each match to identify content needs, storylines, and sponsorship commitments across broadcast partners.
  • Assign and oversee video edits, graphics builds, and other broadcast assets from ideation through final approval.
  • Establish efficient workflows that support timely delivery of match-ready content while allowing the team to adapt quickly to real-time production needs.
  • Troubleshoot content and production issues during live matches to help keep broadcasts on track.
  • Schedule and manage a freelance pool of Associate Producers (APs) and Production Assistants (PAs) to support nightly production needs within budget.
  • Ensure post-match melts and other after-hours content deliverables are completed accurately and on time.
  • Maintain awareness of existing and in-development content from LOVB's social and content teams and identify opportunities to incorporate those assets into broadcasts.
  • Collaborate with the Production Operations Director on site surveys and broadcast planning to ensure venues can successfully support all anticipated production formats.

Team Medical Operations

  • Coordinate with broadcast partners on content being developed for LOVB matches, ensuring clear communication, alignment, and timely delivery.
  • Provide creative and production guidance throughout the partner content development process.
  • Partner with external production vendors, including Omaha, Kwokman, MTVG, and others, to plan and execute content and broadcast support.
  • Work closely with the Broadcast Operations team to ensure each venue has an appropriate production plan for all live broadcast formats.

Broadcast and Media Partner Coordination

  • Oversee athlete medical operations, including:
    • Pre-participation physicals
    • Medical onboarding and exit procedures
    • Injury documentation
    • Medical referrals
    • Rehabilitation coordination
    • Return-to-play protocols
  • Ensure consistent utilization of medical documentation standards, reporting systems, and electronic medical record platforms across all teams.

League Compliance, Safety & Risk Management

  • Serve as a key liaison between Broadcast, Social, Content, Production Operations, and external partners.
  • Develop ways of working that streamline collaboration and improve visibility across content and production work streams.
  • Identify opportunities to repurpose and extend live broadcast content across LOVB's digital and social channels.
  • Maintain strong communication across internal and external stakeholders throughout the season.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Knowledge of live sports production workflows, including producing, editing, graphics, and content capture.
  • Proven success managing multiple production work streams and deliverables in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Strong understanding of graphics workflows within live sports production.
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, including Premiere Pro, Photoshop, and related tools.
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and critical thinking.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills across internal teams, partners, vendors, talent, and athletes.
  • Calm, adaptable, and solutions-oriented approach in live production environments and under tight deadlines.
  • Strong understanding of volleyball culture, terminology, and appropriate storytelling within the sport.
  • Strong leadership and coordination skills when managing freelance production resources and quick-turn content needs.

Education and Experience:

  • 7+ years working in production, preferably within live sports.
  • Bachelor's degree in Broadcast Production, Communications, Journalism, Media Production, or a related field; equivalent professional background may be considered.
  • Background in producing, editing, and/or content capture for live sports or comparable media environments.
  • Prior oversight of editors, Associate Producers, Production Assistants, or other production resources in fast-turnaround settings.
  • Familiarity with linear television, streaming, and social media production environments.
  • Previous work within women's sports strongly preferred.
  • Background with a professional sports league, team, television network, streaming platform, production company, or sports media rights holder preferred.
