About the Role
We are seeking an ambitious and energetic hands-on Engineering Director for a senior leadership position, reporting to the CEO.
As a key member of the founding team, the successful candidate will lead the development and scaling of our engineering team and infrastructure.
Your focus will be on building and mentoring a high-performing engineering team, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration, and driving the strategic direction of our technology efforts.
While we embrace remote work, candidates located in the San Francisco Bay Area or Austin, TX can work hybrid.
What we're looking for
With over 5 years of relevant software engineering experience, including at least 1 year in a leadership capacity, you bring a passion for solving complex challenges and a track record of building and scaling engineering teams.
You have a proven ability to build products from the ground up and excel as a natural leader, taking ownership of technical projects with confidence.
Your expertise spans full-stack engineering, agile development methodologies, and the ability to assess and communicate trade-offs effectively, ensuring optimal functionality, resource allocation, and speed.
What you'll be doing
Lead and scale the engineering team, fostering a culture of continuous learning, collaboration, and innovation.
Mentor and guide fellow engineers, creating an environment that encourages growth and excellence.
Manage project requirements, priorities, and deliverables, ensuring timely execution.
