Job title
Content Ingestion Assistant – Night Shift
Job location

Job description
Samba is a media intelligence company. We know what the world is watching, reading, and thinking about — in real time, at scale, across every screen. Our data exists with the consent of over a billion people, organized into the most complete picture of consumer attention ever built. The biggest brands in the world use that picture to make smarter decisions. We think it’s the most interesting data asset on the planet, because it’s the most culturally relevant.

Live events don't wait for business hours.

The captures start at 6 p.m. Central European Time, most of them are US sports and events, and every one needs a human to press record. Right now that's three people in Poland and one in the US, and they're good. But contractors take days off, and every time they do, there's a hole in the schedule: weekend nights, mostly.

That hole is the job.

The team captures live and on-demand video from streaming platforms and turns it into clean, checked, ingested content. The volume of live events is going up, and the bench has to grow with it.

What you'd actually do

You start the live captures and then you watch them. When something breaks (the player stops, a VPN drops on our servers, the stream buffers), an alert fires and you fix it, following our internal guidelines.

No one is awake at 3 a.m. to hold your hand, so you learn the guidelines properly. It's easier than it sounds until a live event is on the line. Live events have a lot of rules, and missing one costs us the capture.

Between live events you handle long-form recordings: capturing on-demand content, editing the video when it needs it, running quality checks against our rules, and ingesting it into our database.

You'll work in our own web apps, jump onto remote machines, and use spreadsheets. Nobody arrives already knowing our platform, because you can't hire for it on the market. We teach it.

What you need to already be good at
  • English you can work in every day. It's the one hard requirement.

  • Comfortable with computers: remote machines, spreadsheets, learning new web tools fast.

  • Real office or data-entry experience. You've done repetitive, detail-heavy work before and didn't hate it.

  • Experience working remotely and staying on task with nobody watching. We have the tools to see your KPIs, but we'd rather not need them.

  • Reliable on nights and weekends. Saturday and Sunday are the priority.

  • Bonus points

Content management or media operations · data entry at volume · video editing basics · troubleshooting streams, VPNs or recording tools · previous night-shift or follow-the-sun work.

    Not for you if

    • You want to do the work and forget the schedule. Weekend nights are the job.

    • You need someone checking in on you every hour. You'll be alone with the stream, and you're the one fixing it.

    • "Easy" sounds like a promise. A live capture that fails can't be redone.

    • How we judge you, and how it goes

Skills we teach, attitude we don't. Every hire at Samba is scored on the same five things: determined yet resilient, naturally curious, low-ego, self-aware, results oriented.

For this role, Roberto is watching for whether you'll still pay attention at 4 a.m. on a Sunday, whether you can follow a written procedure without skipping steps, and whether you'll ask when you don't know.

The process: a short call with Talent, then a conversation with Roberto, then a final culture round.

      Why now

Samba is Series C, ~$100M raised, pre-IPO, growing 30% YoY, 18 years in. Live capture is growing faster than the bench, and the people who join now become the backup everyone else relies on.
