fal is the generative media ecosystem powering the next generation of AI products. We build the infrastructure, tools, and model access that teams need to move from idea to production, and do it at scale without compromise. For developers and enterprises, fal is the foundation that makes generative media not just possible, but practical: a unified platform where high-performance inference, orchestration, and observability come together to unlock new categories of AI-native products.
As generative media reshapes industries across a market projected to grow by hundreds of billions over the next decade, fal is becoming the ecosystem that ambitious teams build on.
About this role:
You'll make sure fal can get the GPUs it needs, at the right price, the moment it needs them. You'll own fal's relationships with hyperscalers and neoclouds, know what capacity exists and what it really costs, and bring the best of it to the table.
This is a technical and commercial role in equal parts. You'll judge a supplier's offer from the GPU up to the data center, negotiate terms alongside our deal team, and hold a clear view of where the compute market is heading. It is not a sales role, and it is not a procurement desk.
What you’ll do
Supplier relationships. Build deep, multi-level relationships across hyperscalers and neoclouds, including NVIDIA cloud partners, so fal is the first call when capacity frees up.
Capacity evaluation. Assess every offer from the GPU to the data center: hardware generation, node and rack configuration, interconnect, power density and cooling. Know what a configuration will actually deliver, not just what the spec sheet says.
Pricing and market intelligence. Track rates by GPU generation, region and contract term. Explain why a price moved, what it signals, and when fal should buy, wait or switch.
Negotiation. Work with our deal team to negotiate capacity commitments, deposits and payment timing, SLAs and remedies, and carry agreements to signature.
Sourcing against fal's needs. Turn GPU requirements from our fleet operations team and demand forecasts into a sourcing plan: which suppliers, which regions, which terms.
Market point of view. Form and defend a view on supply coming online, platform transitions such as new GPU generations, and regional or policy shifts. Turn it into concrete sourcing decisions.
Qualifications/Nice-to-haves
A bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, business, economics or a related field.
5+ years in compute or infrastructure capacity, sourcing, partnerships or strategy, at a hyperscaler, neocloud, GPU marketplace, chip vendor, OEM, or an AI infrastructure company.
Enough technical fluency with GPUs, servers and data center infrastructure to test what a supplier is offering.
Commercial judgment: comfort with unit economics and contract structure, and a sense for when a price means something is wrong.
A track record of building relationships across large, complex organizations.
Existing relationships at hyperscalers or major neoclouds, including NVIDIA cloud partners.
Experience managing allocation, forecasting or partner standing directly with NVIDIA or a tier-1 OEM.
Willingness to travel to evaluate sites and infrastructure in person.
