Rate: £35 per hour  
Working hours: Monday-Friday -9am-5pm or 3 long days - 8am-8pm

An excellent opportunity has become available for a skilled and experienced Band 7 PET-CT Technologist to join a leading imaging department in Nottingham. This role is ideal for a motivated professional with a strong background in nuclear medicine and PET-CT imaging, looking to contribute to the delivery of high-quality diagnostic services. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting our client’s patients through expert imaging practice and collaborative multidisciplinary care.

What will your responsibilities be:

The PET-CT Technologist will be responsible for performing high-quality PET-CT scans, ensuring accurate image acquisition and patient safety throughout the imaging process. Duties include preparing and administering radiopharmaceuticals, operating PET-CT equipment, and maintaining accurate patient records. The role requires close collaboration with radiologists, nuclear medicine physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure timely and effective diagnostic outcomes. The post holder will also contribute to quality assurance, equipment maintenance, and the training of junior staff where required.

Qualifications and Experiences:

  • BSc in Radiography or Nuclear Medicine, or equivalent qualification
  • Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
  • Substantial experience in PET-CT imaging at Band 6 level or above
  • Competence in handling and administering radiopharmaceuticals
  • Strong understanding of radiation safety and imaging protocols
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage a varied caseload
  • Experience with Siemens or GE PET-CT systems is desirable
