Rate: £28 - £35 per hour

About the role:

The Clinical Physiology team at Pulse is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Band 7 Respiratory Physiologist to join our team in Great Yarmouth. This is a full-time position for a duration of 3 months, offering a competitive hourly rate of £28-£35.

Duties and Responsibilities:

You will conduct comprehensive Pulmonary Function Tests (PFTs) including Static Lung Volumes (Body plethysmography), Spirometry, Gas Transfer Factor (Vyaire Equipment preferred), FeNo, and Breath CO (PPM). You will perform patient clinical observations such as Blood Pressure (BP) and Oxygen Saturation (SpO2). You will administer and monitor Six-minute Walk tests. You will demonstrate and evaluate Bronchodilator administration techniques and conduct post-medication testing.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Essential:
    • Clinical PFT/LFT experience.
    • Relevant qualifications and registration as a Respiratory Physiologist.
    • Experience in a similar role, preferably within the NHS.
  • Desirable:
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Proven experience as a Respiratory Physiologist.
