We’re hiring for a hybrid role. You’ll work on-site with your team several days each week (typically 2–3), with the specific days set by your manager. Because regular in-person collaboration is central to this job, we look for candidates who live within about 50 miles of the office.

Vice President, Security

Position Summary

The Vice President, Security is the leader responsible for the company’s global enterprise security, physical security, security clearance, classified facility operations, personnel security, and related regulatory compliance programs. This role owns the strategy, governance, and operational effectiveness of the company’s global security programs and serves as a senior advisor to executive leadership on security, regulatory requirements, government compliance, and business risk.

 

The VP will ensure the company maintains the appropriate security clearances, policies, processes, controls, and documentation necessary to support government customers and business objectives. The role oversees global personnel security, security education, physical security, classified facility operations, and related programs and policies while ensuring compliance with applicable federal regulations, contractual obligations, and customer requirements.

 

The VP will partner closely with Executive Leadership, Legal, Human Resources, Government Contracts, Information Security, Facilities, IT, and business leaders to manage risk, address complex security matters, and enable continued growth in global government markets.

 

Key Skills and Responsibilities:

Enterprise Security & Compliance

·       Own the company’s enterprise strategy and governance for global security, security clearances, personnel security, classified facility operations, and related compliance programs.

·       Oversee the administration and compliance of facility and personnel security requirements, including clearances, onboarding, transfers, reinvestigations, debriefings, and changes in status.

·       Ensure the company maintains an appropriate security posture globally to support current and future government contracts and customer requirements.

·       Oversee personnel security, security education, physical security, and related security programs.

·       Monitor changes to federal security and regulatory requirements and translate them into effective company policies, processes, and controls.

·       Lead responses to government inquiries, audits, inspections, regulatory reviews, and customer security requirements.

·       Identify and proactively manage security, regulatory, and compliance risks that could impact the company’s government business.

·       Serve as a senior company representative with government agencies, customers, auditors, and other external stakeholders.

 

Strategy & Operational Leadership

·       Develop and execute a multi-year strategy for the company’s security and compliance functions.

·       Establish governance, operating models, performance measures, and reporting mechanisms that provide executive visibility into program health and risk.

·       Build scalable systems, processes, and controls that support organizational growth and evolving government requirements.

·       Continuously improve security programs and processes to increase efficiency, scalability, and compliance.

·       Oversee major security and classified-facility initiatives, as applicable.

·       Ensure security resources, budgets, and priorities align with business and government requirements.

·       Make decisions involving significant regulatory, operational, customer, and reputational risk.

 

Executive & Cross-Functional Leadership

·       Serve as a trusted security advisor to executive leadership and business leaders.

·       Partner with Legal, HR, Government Contracts, Information Security, IT, Facilities, and Business Development to integrate security requirements into business strategy and operations.

·       Lead, develop, and scale a high-performing security organization.

·       Communicate complex security and regulatory matters clearly to executive leadership, employees, customers, and government stakeholders.

·       Build and maintain trusted relationships with senior government security officials and customers.

 

Key Qualifications:

·       Bachelor’s degree in Security, Government, Business, Compliance, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.

·       15+ years of progressive experience in government security, personnel security, enterprise security, security clearance administration, compliance, or a related discipline.

·       Significant leadership experience within a cleared defense, intelligence, cybersecurity, technology, government contracting, or similarly regulated organization.

·       Demonstrated experience leading complex security organizations and developing enterprise security programs.

·       Deep knowledge of U.S. government security clearance and personnel security requirements.

·       Strong understanding of the regulatory and contractual environment supporting U.S. government customers.

·       Proven ability to advise executive leadership on complex security, regulatory, and business matters.

·       Ability to operate strategically while maintaining sufficient operational understanding to ensure effective execution.

·       Active U.S. government security clearance, or ability to obtain and maintain the level of clearance required for the position.

A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is:

$210,300.00-284,500.00 USD

The actual salary offered may vary within the range based on a candidates' unique experience, locale, and business needs. In addition to a base salary and bonus plans, Everfox offers a generous benefits package including flexible PTO, a 401k match, and contribution to healthcare coverages.
