Job description

ABOUT US

Our mission at Avelios is to unlock clinical data to power seamless healthcare operations for better patient care. To do so, we have built a modular software platform that digitizes and optimizes workflows in hospitals with cutting-edge technology in a user-friendly way. With our software, we enable hospitals, doctors & nurses to provide their patients with the best possible care.
We are growing fast and want to keep expanding our team and business to fundamentally digitize healthcare for the better. We appreciate different backgrounds and see diversity as one of our strengths.

THE TEAM AND ROLE

As a Senior Technical Program Manager, you will drive complex, cross-functional projects across Engineering, Product, Project Management, Release Management, and customer-facing teams. You will bring structure and clarity to fast-moving projects with multiple stakeholders, dependencies, and tight timelines.

You will create clear ownership, proactively identify risks and blockers, facilitate decisions, and ensure projects move forward efficiently. Beyond individual programs, you will help improve cross-functional collaboration and visibility through pragmatic, lightweight processes.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Drive complex, cross-functional programs from planning through delivery

  • Establish clear ownership, milestones, timelines, and dependencies

  • Identify and resolve risks, blockers, capacity constraints, and open decisions early

  • Create transparency around project status, timelines, risks, and delivery confidence

  • Facilitate decisions and ensure they translate into clear actions

  • Align stakeholders across Engineering, Product, Project Management, Release Management, and customer-facing teams

  • Navigate competing priorities and stakeholder disagreements constructively

  • Improve cross-functional collaboration and project visibility through pragmatic processes

  • Quickly take ownership of new, high-impact programs as priorities evolve

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS

  • Several years of experience in Program Management, Technical Program Management, Project Management, or a comparable role in a technology or software environment

  • Proven experience driving complex, cross-functional software projects

  • Experience delivering results in short, high-intensity project cycles, typically within one or two quarters

  • Strong program management skills across planning, dependencies, risks, and stakeholder communication

  • Ability to influence without formal authority and confidently navigate challenging conversations

  • Structured, analytical, and action-oriented approach, even in ambiguous environments

  • Strong experience working with engineering teams; deep technical expertise is a plus, but not required

  • Excellent communication skills in English

YOUR BENEFITS

  • Variety in your tasks and the opportunity to take ownership

  • An international, informal team structure in a motivating start-up atmosphere, allowing you to participate directly in our customer growth story and the overall success of Avelios

  • Ability to gain valuable hands-on experience in a startup backed by leading international VCs

  • Support for your personal development through continuous learning and feedback

  • Set your own rhythm with flexible working hours and trust-based time tracking

  • A virtual stock option package (VSOP) that lets you participate in Avelios’ long-term value creation

  • A monthly meal allowance up to 75 euros, full coverage of the Deutschlandticket, Urban Sports Club or a subsidized Wellpass membership, a bike leasing program and Corporate Benefits that give you access to discounts from a wide range of providers in various areas
