Keystone advises technology leaders, Fortune 100 companies, their legal counsel, and governments on business, economic, litigation, and regulatory strategy in relation to these innovations and competitive eco-systems. We operate globally from offices in New York City, Boston, San Francisco, Seattle, London, Dubai, and Washington, D.C.
About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Product Leader to define, build, and scale the financial and operational systems that power how Keystone runs its business. As the firm expands its business lines and geographic reach, the ability to accurately capture consultant time, invoice clients across jurisdictions, manage indirect taxes, and operate the finance function on modern, reliable systems is central to Keystone's ability to scale.
This role sits at the intersection of Finance and Product, focused on modernizing Keystone's time-to-cash stack and stewarding the broader financial systems portfolio. The primary focus in the first phase of the role is leading the evaluation, selection, and implementation of replacements for Keystone's time tracking and invoicing platforms to scale operations across multiple entities, currencies, and tax jurisdictions.
In addition, the role owns the broader financial and operational systems charter, reflecting the priorities and needs of the Finance organization: NetSuite, Ramp, Adaptive, and the integrations that connect to source systems for HRIS, payroll and other data.
This role partners directly with the CFO and VP of Finance to set the systems roadmap, translate financial functional requirements into product decisions, and develop a DevOps roadmap that ensures high uptime, reliable integrations, and effective issue management across the financial systems portfolio.
You will take well-defined and ambiguous financial and operational problems, shape them into products and systems that are scalable, reliable, and measurable, and drive outcomes through a mix of vendor evaluation, configuration, hands-on prototyping, integration development, and stakeholder partnership.
This is a hybrid role with a minimum in office requirement of 3 days per week.
What You'll Do
Product Ownership & Execution
- Own the financial and operational systems portfolio end-to-end, from problem definition through delivery, DevOps, and ongoing feature iteration.
- Lead the evaluation, selection, and implementation of replacement time tracking and invoicing platforms — including RFP scoping, vendor scoring, proof-of-concept design, contracting support, and rollout.
- Translate Finance and Accounting priorities into clear product requirements, system designs, and prioritized backlogs.
- Contribute directly to implementation through prototypes, configuration, and hands-on deployment of pilots of external products.
Financial Systems Stewardship
- Own delivery of the prioritized feature roadmap and ongoing operational health of financial platforms.
- Partner with Finance on requirements for multi-entity operation, multi-currency billing, indirect tax compliance (VAT, GST, e-invoicing, and other jurisdiction-specific business taxes), and revenue recognition.
- Evaluate build-versus-buy decisions and manage the vendor lifecycle across the financial systems portfolio.
- Coordinate with Legal and Revenue Operations on contract-to-cash workflows.
Integrations & DevOps
- Own the integration architecture connecting financial systems to CRM, HRIS, payroll and Salesforce, Rippling other source systems the Finance function relies on.
- Develop and execute a DevOps roadmap with the Engineering organization, covering monitoring, alerting, incident response, change management, and release management across financial systems.
- Set uptime targets and integration reliability SLOs; instrument systems to make performance measurable and issues detectable early.
- Establish an effective issue management process — intake, triage, resolution tracking, root cause analysis, and postmortem discipline.
- Partner with Engineering on integration reliability, security review, and any custom extension work.
Stakeholder & Business Partnership
- Partner with the CFO and VP of Finance as the primary business owners of the portfolio — including standing rhythms for roadmap review, prioritization, and product/program updates.
- Engage consultants, consulting managers, and corporate teams on time entry, invoicing, and expense workflows.
- Support Accounting Operations on close-cycle dependencies (AR, revenue recognition, month-end).
- Coordinate with regional leads as the firm expands into new tax and regulatory jurisdictions.
Roadmap & Prioritization
- Contribute to roadmap prioritization grounded in business impact, financial risk, and user needs.
- Clearly articulate tradeoffs, expected outcomes, and success metrics.
- Align with CFO and VP of Finance on quarterly and annual planning cycles, budget requests, and business case development.
Systems Thinking & Continuous Improvement
- Design solutions that work across systems and reduce fragmentation between finance, HR, and operational data.
- Identify opportunities to introduce automation and AI to improve efficiency in financial workflows.
- Improve systems based on usage patterns, feedback, and evolving needs — including new geographic and regulatory requirements as the firm expands.
What You'll Bring
- 8+ years of experience in technical product management, software development, financial systems, or similar roles.
- Direct experience with financial and payments systems.
- Experience implementing or operating financial systems in a multi-entity, multi-currency environment.
- Experience developing AI-enabled tools and automation in workflows.
- Familiarity with indirect and business tax compliance concepts (VAT, GST, e-invoicing) — deep specialist tax background is not required.
- Track record of building and operating integrations between systems (APIs, iPaaS, event-driven architectures).
- Hands-on experience working with data and writing code or queries (SQL, Python, JavaScript).
- Ability to translate financial and operational requirements into technical solutions.
- Experience conducting structured vendor evaluations end to end.
- Strong communication skills
Nice to Have
- Prior work with time tracking, PSA, or billing platforms used in professional services.
- Experience in consulting or professional services environments.
- Experience with modern data stacks or BI tools (dbt, Snowflake, Looker, Tableau, or similar).
- Experience contributing to UX, workflow design, or system usability improvements in finance-facing products.
