Shift: B Tuesday-Thursday /every other Monday, 5:45 pm - 6:00 am ($2.00/hr differential)

This position is responsible for, under the guidance of a supervisor or manager, providing direction, instructions, and guidance to a group of individuals, who can also be known as a team, for the purpose of achieving defined department goals and ensuring that all department standards required for the team are met in the manufacturing of high-conductance flexible circuits and intelligent wiring systems consistent with established production and quality standards. The Lead provides daily oversight to their designated team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Direct the work of other employees (under the general direction of the designated department manager) in the designated work group and ensure the quality of work
  • Coordinate and manage department flow of short-term and ongoing department schedules; monitor the ERP system
  • Carry out responsibilities in accordance with the Company’s policies and applicable laws
  • Responsibilities may include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing and checking others' work; addressing complaints and resolving basic issues or problems
  • Keep supervisor informed of production levels, goals, successes, issues and/or problems at regular intervals
  • Maintain a clean, orderly, safe, and secure work area at all times and follow all established safety and quality control procedures
  • Support a culture of accountability - being accountable for our work-related actions; supporting and fostering a positive work environment
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications 

Experience/Education

  • Previous production operations, material handling, or technician experience within a manufacturing or warehouse comparable environment preferred but not required.
  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • Must have strong command of English, both written and verbal.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Punctuality and a professional, can-do attitude are a must.
  • Ability to find issues in a work process and receive safety signals using sight, touch, or hearing.
  • Open to schedule flexibility to accommodate a variety of shifts, including days, nights, or weekends as needed. Ability to work overtime & change schedule on short notice as required.

Physical Demands – Office and Manufacturing Environment

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to speak through a microphone or listen for software cues or other indicators that may not be presented visually. The employee must frequently use hands or fingers to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls. The employee must stand, walk, sit, and use hands and arms to pull/push, reach, climb, or balance. Periods of stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling may be required. The employee must lift and/or move up to 25 pounds without assistance. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus are frequently required. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the functions.

Work Environment – 

Includes both a typical office environment, with minimal exposure to excessive noise or adverse environmental issues, and a shop environment, with exposure to high noise levels from operating machines, physical hazards from moving equipment and machine parts, nuisance dust, and skin exposure to chemicals used to run/maintain machines.

PPE-

Where required, must wear Personal Protective Equipment, including but not limited to safety glasses, safety shoes, bump caps, gloves, hair nets, masks, & clean-room frocks while adhering to the prescribed safety procedures.
