Job description

About Decagon

Decagon is the leading conversational AI platform empowering every brand to deliver concierge customer experiences.

Our technology enables industry-defining enterprises like Avis Budget Group, Block’s Cash App and Square, Chime, Oura Health, and Hunter Douglas to deploy AI agents that power personalized, deeply satisfying interactions across voice, chat, email, SMS, and every other channel.

We’re building a future where customer experiences are being redefined from support tickets and hold music to faster resolutions, richer conversations, and deeper relationships. We’re proud to be backed by world-class investors who share that vision, including a16z, Accel, Bain Capital Ventures, Coatue, and Index Ventures, along with many others.

We’re an in-office company, driven by a shared commitment to excellence and velocity. Our values — Just Get It Done, Invent What Customers Want, Winner’s Mindset, and The Polymath Principle — shape how we work and grow as a team.

About the Role

Decagon is hiring a Product Marketing Manager focused on core product marketing and competitive strategy. You’ll shape how we position our products, bring new capabilities to market, and equip our sales team to win in one of the fastest-moving categories in AI.

You’ll own a defined product portfolio and competitive coverage, working closely with Product, Engineering, Sales, and Marketing. We move quickly and hold a high bar for clarity, intellectual rigor, and storytelling. You’ll join a collaborative PMM team with meaningful ownership and room to expand your scope.

In this role, you will

  • Lead product positioning and launches. Translate capabilities into clear messaging, differentiated positioning, and customer value. Drive launch planning and execution, including announcement content, sales and marketing collateral, and enablement.

  • Own competitive strategy for a portfolio of competitors. Collect competitive intel, develop talk tracks, and maintain battlecards. Lead competitive training, shape strategy in live deals, and use field learnings to sharpen our positioning.

  • Inform product direction through customer and market insights. Partner with Product on discovery to identify pain points and validate new use cases with customers and design partners.

  • Support integrated marketing campaigns. Partner with Growth on content and campaigns that drive demand across different buyer personas, including adapting messaging to support international expansion.

  • Build programs that scale. Develop repeatable processes, templates, and AI workflows that help the team move quickly and maintain quality as Decagon grows.

Your background looks something like this

  • Have 3–5 years of experience in product marketing or a closely related role at a B2B SaaS or AI company selling to enterprises.

  • Communicate clearly and think in a structured way. You can distill complex ideas into compelling writing and presentations, and apply strong editorial judgment to shape and refine AI-generated work.

  • Can dig into technical products and research, work closely with Product and Engineering, and independently deepen your understanding.

  • Take initiative, work effectively across teams, and build processes that bring structure to ambiguity as the business grows.

  • Use AI extensively as a thought partner and execution tool to explore ideas, accelerate research, and improve how you work.

  • Have experience developing competitive messaging or supporting enterprise deals.

Even better if you have

  • Experience building a competitive program is a plus.

Benefits

We proudly offer the following benefits for our full-time employees:

  • Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits for you and your family

  • Life Insurance and Disability Benefits

  • Retirement Plan (e.g., 401K, pension)

  • Parental Leave

  • Fertility and family building benefits through Carrot

  • Monthly stipend to support your wellness, lifestyle, and work-life balance

  • Daily lunches and snacks in the office to keep you at your best

  • Take what you need vacation policy (subject to local requirements; UK employees receive 25 days of statutory leave)

These benefits are described in more detail in Decagon’s policies, may vary by location, and can change at any time according to applicable compensation and benefits plans.
