Hone builds AI that owns outcomes, not tasks: agentic systems that work towards goals over weeks and months, deploy themselves, and improve over time.
About Hone
Models keep getting smarter, but outside of coding most organizations can't absorb that intelligence, and the gap between model capability and the value derived from it keeps widening. The reasons are many, from human incentives to org design, but at the core we think it's a technology problem. Hone builds engines: AI systems that you hand a goal, like "keep the recruiting pipeline healthy." An engine builds itself, maintains its own agents and code, pulls in people when it needs judgment, and learns from every correction. Leading AI companies and global enterprises already run engines across funnel optimization, procurement, deal sourcing, asset management, financial risk, and product and customer delivery. We measure ourselves by the real-world economic impact our engines create, not benchmark scores.
In October 2026, we announced a $60M seed round from Benchmark and Index Ventures.
A little more about Hone
Half our team are former founders: They’ve built companies, shipped products, and chosen Hone as the place to build next
Our customers are building with AI themselves: Cognition, Modal and Lucanet already use Hone, with customer perspectives featured on our website
Our founders have built from research to scale: They researched agents at Stanford, built the core of Devin at Cognition, led enterprise engineering at Mercor, and founded companies that reached over one million users
Our values shape how we work: Own the Outcome, Set the Standard, Win with Class, and Commit to the Racing Line. Read more on our careers page

The Role
You'll own growth as an engineering problem: identify the right buyers, build ways to reach them, and turn what works into systems that generate qualified pipeline. You'll write code, build agents, ship landing pages, run campaigns and trace results through to revenue. The work spans software, data and marketing, with ownership from the first experiment to a repeatable growth motion.
You'll work directly with the founders, sales and our GTM Engineer. You'll use Hone to run our own growth, pushing the product into new use cases and turning what you learn into better capabilities for customers.
What You'll Work On
Account intelligence and targeting: combine company data, buying signals and customer patterns to identify the accounts, people and problems where Hone has the strongest reason to win
Coordinated campaigns across ads, outbound, content, events and follow-up, giving each buyer a relevant reason to engage
Acquisition experiments: build landing pages, interactive demos and useful tools, connect them to campaigns, and improve conversion into qualified meetings
Agents that research accounts, personalize outreach, respond to inbound interest and adapt follow-up based on prospect behavior
Experimentation infrastructure: instrument the funnel, connect campaign activity to CRM outcomes, and build tools that make testing and learning faster
Growth economics: track spend, meetings held, opportunities and revenue, diagnose where the funnel breaks, and decide which experiments to scale or stop
Requirements
You've personally owned an acquisition, pipeline or revenue target and can explain what you built to hit it
Time at a fast-growing startup
You've built and shipped software, automations or growth systems that real people use
Strong technical fundamentals: Python or TypeScript, SQL, APIs, webhooks and data pipelines. You can build and debug integrations across unfamiliar systems, with retries, monitoring and data quality checks that keep them reliable
You can ship a landing page, connect tracking, assemble an audience and launch a campaign yourself
Deep understanding of at least one acquisition channel, with the judgment to combine channels into a coherent account campaign
Strong quantitative judgment: funnel math, conversion rates, acquisition costs, attribution limits and experiment design
Strong product and messaging instincts: you can turn a technical capability into something a buyer understands and wants
You use coding agents every day and still understand every line you ship
You build and experiment for fun because you're curious about why people buy and how businesses grow
Nice to Have
You've built demand for an emerging product category where buyers needed help understanding what was possible
You've built agents that research, take actions across business systems, and improve through feedback
Experience with Clay, Salesforce or HubSpot, enrichment providers, sales engagement tools and ad platforms
You've founded a company or grown a product, community or business of your own
