ABOUT LITERATI

Literati is a modern children’s book company focused on building reading skills so kids can grow to be their best selves. We make it easy to find books kids love through school book fairs and book clubs using a unique mix of expert curation and data science. The Lift Operator plays a key role in maintaining inventory accuracy and ensuring customer orders are picked, packed, and shipped on time. Responsibilities include picking and packing fixtures, fulfilling orders, conducting cycle counts, shipping and receiving, loading and unloading trucks, replenishment, put-away, processing returns, and supporting inventory plans set by leadership. This role requires training and operation of PIT equipment, including order pickers, cherry pickers, and forklifts. As part of the team bringing book fair magic to life, you’ll help ensure products move safely and efficiently from our warehouse to customers.The rewards of the position are high visibility and a positive impact on literacy worldwide. When we make an offer, we can provide options so employees can choose between compensation packages, prioritizing salary or equity. The hourly rate for this role will be $17.50/hr.

ABOUT THE ROLE

  • Picking, Packing, Order Fulfillment, Counting, Cycle Counts, Advertised Title Walks, QA, Transfers, Fair Production, Auditing, and Training.

  • Mobility and Standing: This position requires the ability to remain standing and moving throughout the entirety of the shift. Candidates should be comfortable being on their feet for extended periods of time to successfully perform job duties.

  • Lifting Requirements: The role involves occasional lifting of items weighing up to 50 pounds. Employees may be required to safely lift, carry, and maneuver items within this weight range as part of their regular duties.

  • Flexibility and Dexterity: Regular activities include bending, twisting, squatting, and reaching. These movements are integral to performing tasks associated with the role, such as handling materials, operating machinery, or completing manual tasks.
