Job description

Delaware Licensed Mental Health Therapist — Part-Time

Backpack Healthcare | Remote | Delaware License Required

Help Expand Access to Mental Healthcare Across Delaware

Backpack Healthcare is growing in Delaware! We're looking for compassionate, dedicated therapists who want to make a meaningful impact while enjoying the flexibility of working from home.

We provide high-quality virtual mental health services to children, adolescents, and young adults, making care more accessible to families across Delaware. As a clinician-led, minority-owned organization, we're committed to supporting both our clients and the therapists who care for them.

If you're passionate about working with youth, value work-life balance, and want to be part of a collaborative, mission-driven team, we'd love to meet you!

What You'll Do

You'll provide 15–22 telehealth sessions per week, delivering individual and family therapy to children, adolescents, and young adults throughout Delaware.

Most clinicians see clients during weekday afternoons and evenings (2:00–9:00 PM ET), with weekend availability welcomed.

You create your schedule—we provide the referrals, administrative support, billing, and credentialing.

Your day-to-day includes:

  • Conducting comprehensive behavioral health assessments

  • Developing individualized, trauma-informed treatment plans

  • Providing evidence-based individual and family therapy via secure telehealth

  • Collaborating with our interdisciplinary care team, including therapists, PMHNPs, psychiatrists, and care coordinators

  • Completing timely, accurate clinical documentation within our electronic health record (EHR)

  • Supporting families through education, collaboration, and coordinated care

Competitive Compensation + Monthly Bonus Potential

We believe clinicians should have the opportunity to earn competitive compensation while maintaining the flexibility of part-time practice.

What You'll Earn

  • $60 per billable hour for independently licensed clinicians

  • Monthly bonus potential based on eligible clinical and performance metrics

  • Opportunities for professional growth and increased earning potential as Backpack continues to expand

Additional Benefits

  • 401(k) with a 3% company match

  • $150 annual CEU reimbursement

  • Employee Assistance Program (EAP)

  • 100% remote work

  • Opportunities for clinical leadership and professional growth

  • Collaborative clinical support and interdisciplinary case consultation

What We're Looking For

We're seeking clinicians who have:

  • An active Delaware independent clinical license appropriate for the role, such as an LCSW, LPCMH, or LMFT

  • Experience working with children, adolescents, and families—or a passion for serving this population

  • The ability to work independently in a virtual environment

  • Strong clinical judgment, communication, and documentation skills

  • A commitment to trauma-informed, culturally responsive care

Bilingual (English/Spanish) clinicians are strongly encouraged to apply.

Join Our Delaware Team!

If you're ready to make a lasting impact on the lives of Delaware's children and families while enjoying flexible remote work, competitive compensation, monthly bonus potential, and the support of an incredible team, we'd love to hear from you.

Bring your clinical expertise. We'll bring the referrals, support, and opportunity to grow. 🎒💙

Apply today and help us build healthier futures—one child, one family, and one community at a time.
