Title: IPM Supervisor

Role Summary
Ohalo is hiring an IPM Supervisor to own integrated pest management primarily across Watsonville controlled-environment productions, and adjacent outdoor field areas — safeguarding breeding trials, plant production, and proprietary germplasm from pest, disease, and weed pressure.
Responsibilities:
- Own the greenhouse IPM program: scouting, trap monitoring, and early pest/disease identification
- Extend scouting and treatment coverage to outdoor field areas as needed
- Run biological control programs (beneficials, biofungicides), layered with targeted chemical treatments as needed
- Set and enforce hygiene, sanitation, exclusion, and quarantine protocols to protect plant material
- Manage pesticide/fungicide application, product selection, and resistance management
- Ensure compliance with CA DPR, county Ag Commissioner and Worker Protection Standard including applications logs reporting.
- Supervise, train, and hold accountable an IPM/scouting crew
- Manage relationships with PCAs, biocontrol and chemical suppliers, and applicators
- Own IPM budget, equipment, and recordkeeping (scouting logs, application records, SDS)
About You:
- 5+ years of hands-on IPM experience in greenhouse/controlled-environment production
- Valid CA Qualified Applicator License (QAL) or Certificate (QAC), or ability to obtain one
- Strong knowledge of CA DPR, county Ag Commissioner, and WPS compliance requirements
- Experience with biological control programs
- Experience supervising and training crews
- Comfortable working in greenhouse and, at times, outdoor field conditions
- Valid driver's license
Below is the pay range for this position that we reasonably expect to pay. Individual compensation is based on various factors including experience, education, skillset, and other relevant qualifications. This range is for the Watsonville, CA location and may be adjusted to the labor market in other geographic areas.
Anticipated compensation: $33/hr
