We’re a technology company in Metro Detroit supplying aluminum plate, bar, and rounds to aerospace and defense manufacturers. We use software and automation to supply metal to American factories faster than the industry thought possible.
**The role.** We’re hiring an Inside Sales representative to help manufacturers get fast, accurate answers when they need aluminum. You will respond to inbound demand, develop new opportunities through focused outreach, prepare quotes, follow orders, and build accounts through exceptional responsiveness.
Customers often call because a material decision is holding up real production. You will learn the product, ask the right questions, and coordinate with supply chain and operations before making a commitment.
**You will:**
- Respond quickly to customer calls, emails, quote requests, and website inquiries
- Clarify alloy, form, dimensions, quantity, certification, processing, and delivery requirements
- Build accurate quotes and explain options and tradeoffs clearly
- Follow up consistently and move opportunities toward a decision
- Prospect into targeted accounts and reactivate past customers
- Coordinate with purchasing, inventory, production, shipping, and outside sales
- Keep customer, activity, opportunity, and forecast data accurate
- Monitor active orders and communicate changes before they become surprises
- Grow accounts by learning customer patterns and anticipating future needs
- Own customer issues through a clear resolution
**You are:**
- Fast, clear, and professional on the phone and in writing
- Commercially curious and comfortable asking for the order
- Accurate with specifications, numbers, and documentation
- Persistent without becoming careless or pushy
- Organized across many open conversations and follow-ups
- Comfortable learning technical products and manufacturing workflows
- Accountable for what you promise to customers
- Comfortable using CRM and other business software
**Nice to have:**
- Inside sales, customer service, estimating, or account-management experience
- Experience in metals, industrial distribution, manufacturing, logistics, or B2B sales
- Familiarity with purchase orders, material specifications, and production schedules
- Experience using CRM, quoting, ERP, or inventory systems
- Comfort using AI tools for account research, preparation, and administration
