- **Founding Engineer / Founding ML Engineer**
Koyal is building the AI filmmaking platform for the next generation of filmmakers: turning scripts into cinematic video with consistent characters, worlds, and stories.
We’re looking for a cracked founding engineer who wants to build at the edge of AI, creativity, and media.
You’ll work across the stack: agentic systems, video generation pipelines, model orchestration, product infrastructure, and the core creative tools filmmakers use every day. You should be highly technical, product-minded, fast, and comfortable owning ambiguous problems from idea to production.
**You might be a great fit if you:**
* Are deeply familiar with agentic coding tools and know how to orchestrate multiple agents, models, and workflows effectively.
* Are creative and excited about building applications, not just infrastructure or models in isolation.
* Have 3+ years of engineering experience, or strong graduate-level experience.
* Have experience with diffusion models, generative video, computer vision, or ML systems
* Move quickly, have strong taste, and want meaningful ownership at an early-stage company.
* Speak our language when it comes to movies, music, storytelling, or internet culture. Huge plus, but we’re always excited to learn.
Koyal was founded by Gauri Agarwal and Mehul Agarwal, engineers and builders from Meta, CMU, and MIT. We’ve worked with creators, studios, and media companies to produce everything from music videos to long-form films.
This is a high-ownership founding role with the opportunity to shape the product, technical direction, and company from the ground up.
