As a member of our growing team, you’ll take part in a company culture that cares deeply about its work and its team members.
We are seeking a Board-Certified Veterinary Nutritionist (DACVIM (Nutrition)) to join Ollie as a key leader in our Health and Nutrition organization. This role will bridge veterinary expertise, scientific research, and product innovation, helping shape how Ollie advances canine health through nutrition and technology.
You’ll work across Product, RD&E, Data, Marketing, Growth, and the Veterinary function to bring evidence-based health and nutrition expertise into our products, research, and consumer experience. This is a highly cross-functional role for someone who enjoys both deep scientific work and turning that expertise into real-world impact.
This is a U.S.-based remote position and reports to the Chief Scientific Officer.
What You'll Do:
Lead health and nutrition initiatives across the business, partnering with Product, Data, and other cross-functional teams to advance Ollie’s health strategy, including Health Screenings, personalized recommendations, and emerging health technologies.
Manage and develop the veterinary team, providing clinical guidance, coaching, and support while building the team’s capabilities and capacity to support Ollie’s growing health and nutrition initiatives.
Own the clinical and scientific quality of Health Check-Ins, including expert review, case management, clinical validation, ongoing optimization, and planning for scalable capacity as the business grows.
Provide veterinary nutrition expertise across product development, including recipe formulation, nutrient optimization, product innovation, and the development of science- and veterinary-led product opportunities.
Design, lead, and advise on clinical research and studies that advance our understanding of canine health, nutrition, and the efficacy of Ollie products.
Drive scientific research and publication, contributing to peer-reviewed publications, white papers, industry presentations, and other opportunities to advance Ollie’s scientific credibility and thought leadership.
Build and maintain relationships with academic, clinical, and veterinary partners and help identify strategic research opportunities that support Ollie’s health and nutrition priorities.
Serve as a key scientific voice in claims and go-to-market, partnering with Marketing and other teams to develop credible, evidence-based claims and consumer-facing communications.
Help grow Ollie’s presence within the veterinary community, supporting veterinary education, continuing education, conferences, partnerships, and other initiatives that build awareness and credibility.
Translate complex scientific concepts into clear, compelling content for veterinarians, pet parents, and internal teams across educational content, digital experiences, press, social, and other channels.
Ensure products and communications meet relevant nutritional and scientific standards, including AAFCO, NRC, and other applicable guidelines.
Partner cross-functionally on emerging health and nutrition opportunities, bringing a veterinary and scientific perspective to product strategy, innovation, and business decisions.
Stay current on veterinary nutrition research, industry developments, and competitive trends to identify opportunities and inform Ollie’s health and nutrition strategy.
