Job description

About Evervault

Evervault offers modular payments infrastructure for companies building their own payments stack. We keep raw card data off your systems, cut PCI compliance work, improve acceptance, mitigate fraud and chargebacks and decrease your cost of payments, so you keep full control. Trusted by Ramp, Rippling, Modern Treasury and Overwolf; Series B, led by Ribbit Capital.

Role Overview

We’re looking for a Design Engineer to help evolve the Evervault brand and product, with a heavy focus on design and user experience. The developer experience we create is one of the biggest drivers of our success, and our interfaces are central to it. You’ll care about how a product works as much as how it looks, and you’ll have plenty of blank canvases: new products that need zero-to-one design thinking, plus licence to improve what already exists.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Taking complex UI challenges from concept to high-quality, production-ready implementation

  • Designing striking brand materials that stand out

  • Building creative websites and landing pages for our products

  • Working with content and marketing on visuals that explain the value of the product

  • Keeping design consistent across all our products

Requirements

  • 3+ years of product design or related experience

  • You can write production front-end code in React

  • A sharp eye for detail and a love of pixel-perfect implementation

  • A portfolio showing work you’ve both designed and built

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Three.js or other 3D libraries

  • TypeScript experience

  • Experience designing for developer-facing products

This Might Not Be for You If…

  • You only want to design: you’ll be shipping production code

  • You only want to code from finished designs: you’ll own the design thinking too

  • You prefer a mature design system and fixed briefs: much of what you’ll work on starts from a blank canvas

  • You want to work fully remotely: we’re in our Shoreditch office Tuesday to Thursday

Compensation, Benefits & Why Join

  • Competitive London Weighted salary

  • Stock options with an extended exercise window

  • Private health insurance

  • Unlimited PTO

  • Daily lunch budget

  • Shape how developers see and use Evervault, across both product and brand

Interview Process

  1. Recruiter screen

  2. Hiring manager screen

  3. Take-home task

  4. Technical interview/Task Debrief

  5. Final round with our founder

  6. References and offer

Location

This role is based in London, in our Shoreditch office Tuesday to Thursday. We do not currently sponsor UK work visas.

Candidates must be based in the location specified. Any applications from candidates not in the required location may not receive a response.
