Job description

About Wing:

Wing offers drone delivery as a safe, fast, and sustainable solution for last mile logistics. Consumer appetites for on-demand services are increasing, but current delivery methods are inefficient, costly, and contribute to road accidents and air pollution. Wing’s fleet of highly automated delivery drones can transport small packages directly from businesses to homes on-demand, in minutes. We design, build, and operate our aircraft, and offer drone delivery services on two continents. Our technology is designed to be easy to integrate into existing delivery and logistics networks, offering a scalable drone delivery solution for a broad range of businesses. Wing is a part of Google's parent company, Alphabet, and our mission is to create the preferred means of delivery for the planet. If you're ready to do the greatest work of your life, come join us.

About the Role:

Wing is looking for a Business Operations Lead to join our Business Operations team. This role is based remotely in the United States. In this role, you will act as a key contributor and subject matter expert, driving complex, cross-functional projects with end-to-end ownership. You will play a critical part in moving our strategy forward by executing go-to-market and operational initiatives. The ideal candidate is comfortable navigating ambiguity to solve complex problems that move key workstreams forward and can translate data into clear, actionable insights. You will influence teams across the organization, aligning resources and stakeholders to scale Wing’s operations and sustain our culture of excellence.

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead transformational, enterprise-wide programs and strategic initiatives, defining the scope, success criteria, and long-term roadmap.
  • Solve complex project-specific problems that have multiple potential solutions by identifying roadblocks, addressing inefficiencies, and building new processes to minimize future issues.
  • Design and implement project cadences and reporting frameworks to deliver effective operational rigor, ensuring progress is tracked against key business objectives.
  • Synthesize findings from quantitative and qualitative analysis into actionable insights that move projects forward, and communicate these recommendations in a structured manner to senior stakeholders.
  • Partner effectively with cross-functional teams and senior-level stakeholders to align resources, influence strategic direction, and integrate activities across adjacent workstreams.
  • Champion process improvement and innovation by evaluating existing approaches and scaling effective solutions across the business.

What You’ll Need:

  • 12+ years of experience in Business Operations, Management Consulting, or equivalent roles, with a proven track record of delivering high-impact results.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Economics, Finance, Business, or a related field (MBA a bonus) or equivalent practical experience
  • Mastery of influencing at the executive level, with the ability to negotiate and drive consensus among senior leaders with competing priorities.
  • Exceptional strategic thinking capabilities, able to synthesize complex market and internal data into long-term business recommendations.
  • Proven ability to thrive in high-ambiguity environments, creating structure out of chaos and defining the path forward where none exists.
  • Strong financial and operational acumen, capable of connecting day-to-day execution metrics to P&L impact and top-line company goals.
  • Commitment to fostering a welcoming environment, collaborating effectively, and developing trusted relationships across the organization.
