Job description

About Fragment

Fragment is the AI platform that autonomously streamlines procurement workflows end to end. Within a few months of launch, we signed Fortune 500 companies. Within a year of founding, our customers, all $1B+ revenue enterprises, continue to grow in number and are actively championing us to their networks, and our marketing and CAC to get here has been $0.

This traction is why hiring is now the constraint on everything else.

We work from our San Francisco office five days a week. Being in the room together is how we move blazingly fast at "Fragment Pace". You'll work with a team of passionate builders, sharp operators, and most importantly kind, thoughtful humans who are here to reimagine the systems underlying the movement of physical goods and build a generational company.

The role

You'll run the machinery behind every hire at Fragment. Our recruiters own the searches; you own the process behind the scenes: scheduling across founders, interviewers, and candidates in different time zones, onsite logistics, debrief coordination, and keeping our ATS accurate enough that we trust the data in it.

Candidate experience is a competitive advantage for us. Candidates notice when things just work: a reply within the hour, a schedule that doesn't shift, someone who knows their name when they walk in. We want every candidate to walk away thinking that was the most world-class process they've been through, whether or not we made them an offer.

What you'll do

  • Schedule interviews and handle any reschedules while providing a white-glove candidate experience throughout

  • Own candidate communication through the process: confirmations, prep materials, logistics, and fast, warm answers when something changes

  • Keep the ATS clean: every candidate in the right stage, every interview logged, every disposition recorded, so our pipeline reports are accurate

  • Continuously improve how we hire: you see the friction before anyone complains about it and ship the fix the same week

What we're looking for

  • 3+ years of recruiting coordination or operations experience at a high growth company with a high volume of interviews and a high bar for candidate experience

  • Precision is how you're wired. Zero-defect scheduling, names spelled right, time zones correct the first time; you catch the error before anyone else sees it

  • You write well and move fast; candidates and interviewers hear from you the same day, not the next week

  • Calm under volume. You can hold a dozen moving loops in your head, and when three things break at once you fix them in the right order

  • Deep fluency in at least one modern ATS and the calendar and scheduling tooling around it

  • Discretion. You will see offer details, comp, and candidate information, and you treat it accordingly

  • You hold yourself to an exceptionally high standard and cannot work any other way

Bonus points

  • You've taken a recruiting process that wasn't working and made it better, and you can show the before and after

  • You love building and may have vibe coded some coordination tools in your free time (please share!)

This is a short-term, full-time contract role, up to 40 hours per week, based in our San Francisco office. The exact length of the contract is still being determined, and it is not set up to convert to a full-time employee role. Compensation is $100–160 per hour depending on experience.
