Job description

ABOUT STOCKDALE CAPITAL PARTNERS

Stockdale Capital Partners (stockdalecapital.com) is a vertically-integrated real estate investment firm focused on equity and credit strategies across property types and the risk spectrum. Headquartered in Los Angeles, the firm operates six offices nationwide and manages over $3 billion in gross assets. Stockdale’s portfolio includes healthcare, hospitality, mixed-use, multifamily, office, and retail properties across the United States.

JOB OVERVIEW:

The Senior Analyst will be a key member of the Capital Formation & Portfolio Management team, supporting institutional fundraising, investor relations, fund reporting, portfolio analytics, and valuation processes across the firm’s real estate equity and credit strategies. The role offers broad exposure to senior leadership, institutional investors, and the full lifecycle of private equity real estate fund operations.

Reporting to the Head of Capital Formation, the Senior Analyst will execute investor materials, due diligence deliverables, fund performance reporting, valuation coordination, and related analytical workstreams. The position will work closely with asset management, acquisitions, finance, and legal teams and is designed for an analytical, detail-oriented professional seeking increased responsibility and direct exposure to institutional capital formation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the development and updating of institutional fundraising materials, investor presentations, pitchbooks, and data room content for roadshows and diligence processes
  • Draft and coordinate responses to investor due diligence requests, including DDQs, RFPs, RFIs, and ad hoc inquiries from prospective and existing limited partners
  • Maintain investor pipeline, diligence, and deliverable tracking systems, including CRM workflows, to support timely and accurate execution across fundraising processes
  • Support LP communications and investor engagement, including quarterly updates, Annual General Meeting materials, investor meeting preparation, and ongoing correspondence
  • Collaborate with asset management, acquisitions, finance, legal, and other internal teams to gather, reconcile, and synthesize information used in investor-facing materials
  • Maintain and update fund-level models, including capital activity, fund economics, waterfall analyses, and key performance metrics such as IRR, MOIC, DPI, and TVPI
  • Prepare quarterly fund reports, portfolio updates, and investor-facing performance analyses, with a focus on accuracy, consistency, and clear presentation of investment results
  • Aggregate, reconcile, and quality-control portfolio and fund data from internal systems for use in reporting, fundraising, and senior management materials
  • Coordinate third-party valuation processes by gathering asset-level information, facilitating asset manager input, tracking deliverables, and reviewing appraisal assumptions and outputs
  • Support internal valuation reviews, portfolio analytics, and special projects related to investor reporting, fundraising, and fund-level analysis

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Real Estate, Economics, Business, or a related field required
  • 1–3 years of relevant experience in real estate private equity, investment management, investment banking, asset management, investor relations/capital formation, or fund operations preferred
  • Strong Excel and financial modeling skills, with familiarity with private fund structures and return metrics including IRR, MOIC, DPI, and TVPI
  • Experience with fund-level modeling and waterfall structures preferred; ability to interpret and communicate investment performance data is important
  • Strong PowerPoint skills; experience with Yardi, DealCloud, Intralinks, or similar investment management, CRM, or data-room platforms is a plus
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple time-sensitive workstreams in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to synthesize financial and investment information into clear, polished investor-facing materials

Additional Information

  • Travel: Occasional travel may be required for investor meetings or asset visits
  • Location: Based in New York, NY, with the ability to travel periodically to the firm’s headquarters in Los Angeles, CA
