About the HR Lead job

Reporting to the HR Business Partner, you will be responsible for the running of the day to day HR function at our Derby distribution centre. This includes overseeing site recruitment, providing ER and people management support and leading HR improvements and initiatives ensuring the HelloFresh culture is maintained to uphold a positive working environment and drive employee retention.

You will manage the HR Team consisting of two HR Executives and four HR Coordinators including the coaching, development and priority & objectives setting across the team.

So if you,

  • Hold a CIPD accredited qualification (minimum of level 5)
  • Have previous line management experience
  • Strong HR generalist experience within a fast paced environment (ideally production or warehouse/ logistics)
  • Are efficient on Microsoft Office (G-Drive & G-Suite desirable)
  • Have a leadership and management qualification (desirable)
  • Experience of dealing working with an HR information system
  • Demonstrable experience of dealing with an employee relations caseload i.e. absence management, performance management, disciplinary & grievance matters
  • Team player
  • Displays passionate, energy and enthusiasm for the field & the value HR can bring
  • Strong interpersonal skills – ability to build relationships at ease
  • Acute attention to detail

What You Will Be Doing

  • Day to day management of the HR Team including coaching, development & setting priorities & objectives
  • Oversee all employee relations cases providing support & guidance to the HR Executives
  • Acting as an escalation point for more complex employee relations cases
  • Lead delivery of annual performance review cycle & Happiness engagement survey
  • Oversee all HR Admin processes (including onboarding & offboarding) ensuring timely completion & exceptional service
  • Conduct employee check ins (i.e. stay interviews & exit interviews) to gather feedback and improve people processes
  • Lead onsite engagement and culture initiatives
  • Lead on L&D programme
  • Regularly review key people metrics and data including churn and absence in order to spot trends and implement initiatives to improve
  • Promote strong internal culture and lead employee happiness initiatives
  • Manage the site social budget
  • Lead ad-hoc projects and initiatives based on business need

Location: The Orchard, 1 Holme Lane, Spondon, Derby, DE21 7HW

Work Schedule: 40 Hours Monday to Friday
